Powell, Burke & Associates And Cole Flannigan & Associates are scamming you out of your money! Do not send these companies any money or you will be robbed of your funds!!! These companies are both related and run by the same felon convicts.

You will be cold called for your past due accounts and within days be asked for up front fees for attorneys and law suits. They are not attorneys, THEY CANNOT FREEZE ANY BANK ACCOUNTS and their made up dead lines to file these suits are fraudulent and nothing more. Why pay Up Front for something that attorneys will do on contingency? This is all bogus and a true shakedown, nothing more. They will rob you of your money and IF YOU HAVE A GUT FEELING THAT YOU ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF, YOU ARE RIGHT!!!! Don't deal with them.

This company is run by a group of felons convicted of crimes like Robbery and Burglary and are currently on work furlough trying to rob their clients. These companies are all run out of the same apartment buildings and use the same phone number prefixes and sham websites and are all in cahoots.

If you are a debtor, DO NOT PAY THEM A DIME!!!! They aren't licensed to collect in any state and if they call you to collect against you, PAY YOUR CREDITOR DIRECTLY INSTEAD!!

If you have already paid these companies for services which they are not providing it is time to call the District Attorney in Ventura County and your bank and demand that what they have done is reversed. It is not too late to demand from your bank what they have stolen from you.

PS There is also a sister company in Las Vegas Nevada called Case Forwarder, Inc that is related to this hoax.

To our secret admirer

AUTHOR: sales@coleflannigan.com - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 16, 2009

Whoever the man behind the mask is that so freely decides to take it upon himself to post defamating and purported statements such as these listed above seems to have keen knowledge of collection laws and regulatory statutes, however the allegations against CFA are completey without merit, furthermore I wonder if this "secret admirerer" of ours is aware that it is a violation of several federal and state laws to quote law publicly or to lie in order to discredit competitors. If this man is a competitor posting complete lies about us I will get to the bottom of this and exercise my rights both as an individual and as a corporate entity and as far as who the president of this firm is anyone may look up the secretary of State website to find out on public record who the President and the BOSS is. There is no reason to try to hide the true identity of the president if you are running a legitimate company. I am not the president of a Nevada corporation but I am the owner of Cole Flannigan & Associates.I previously stated there is no client that is displeased with my services. After reading this last posting I am certain I am being put down by a competitor who should spend more time focusing on his/her own client and debtor list and quit worrying about ours for crying out loud!!!

Best Regards

Fly By Night Collection Agencies are illegal!

AUTHOR: beadvised - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Most states require debt collectors to carry a cash bond and a surety bond with deposits in the tens of thousands.  Additionaly, some states require that debt collectors mantain a seperate bank account to deposit their collections into trust to seperate funds that a collection agency collects for their client and what they keep for themselves.

Fly By Night companies like this Cole, Flannigan & Associates cant afford to part with a $20,000 deposit for a surety bond so they dont carry proper licensing.  Plus, these companies have no intention of ever repaying their client in the first place, so why set up a seperate bond??

I would check the licensing requirements in your state for debt collectors and stay away from those that arent licesned.

In addition, an applicant for a collection agency license in Nevada must supply a bond between $25,000 and $50,000 and they must have a physical location in Nevada that they operate out of.  This company is located in Oxnard, CA as the post says and the business records indicate the President, Donald F. Lavalle is in Thousand Oaks CA.  Not Larry Flannigan.

Although they may have an office in Nevada, they arent even licensed to collect in their home state.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Please validate such allegations

AUTHOR: Larry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 11, 2009

In all my years of business I cant remember a time when such a putrid and completely eroneous allegation has been made regarding me as a person or my company. If I have any displeased clients, I urge you please to contact us so we can resolve any pending issues, however i am somewhat baffled as I am not aware of any. In fact I am certain there are none. Cole Flannigan & Associates and our client list have a great relationship and I demand that whoever is responsible for this posting and the direct lies that indicate I employ felons and furlough attendants please come forward. Perhaps you are someone denied a job due to your criminal history or maybe a disgruntled ex employee. I am not certain who allows such unfonded information to be posted but I will be investigating my rights with regard to this.
Best Regards,
Larry Flannigan
