POWER MARKETING VIP Mystery Shopper/Survey from Home Scam Internet

Watch out for Power Marketing VIP .  I found them on Craigslist for a mystery shopper/research job.  It is a scam!!!  I did $500 worth of calls following their instructions and never got paid.  Then I could suddenly not reach them or find them.  Karma, baby!

Here is a copy of the verbage they initially sent to me:

Hi,

Thank you for requesting to join our program and start making quick cash today.  Our team is conducting a survey that allows us to research how individuals convert off sales calls with our different technology help systems. 

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY 

All you need to do is call the numbers below and fill out the form which is linked next to the number.  

• We will pay you $50 a call within 72 hours via Paypal for each verified call. You must complete all 4 calls to be paid out. 

• You can only call each number ONCE from each phone number for at least 5 minutes.  That means you can call the same number once on different CONTRACT or LANDLINE phones to make $50 a call.

• You must pick the PC computer option for each call ( usually #1 on each automated menu option) and you must simulate having a PC with issues for the time period needed.  If you have a PC that is even better!  The representative will ask to fix your computer and you will be able to verify the call that way.

•  A great example of a computer issue would be that you need a virus check because your computer is running slow due to a website visited.  

When and if someone comes on the line, ask questions about why computer might be slower than it is supposed to be:

• You will be rated on how convincing you sound "like a customer".

• You must not tell them that this is a survey or research project or the results will be ruined for your contribution. That entry into the system will be deemed invalid.
