I made an appt for 9:00am at Power Nissan of El Monte. Arrived at 9:00am for the appointment. I had a coupon for a quick oil and filter change w/ filter for $19.95. David Rodriquez talked to me about getting the Value Care Program ($99.95). I also told him I have not changed my transmission fluid since getting the car. And to please let me know if there is anything else that needed to be done as this is the first time I am going to the dealer.

After waiting until 11:00am and still was not done. I walked over there to see where my car was. The mechanic was in the process of lifting the car up on the hoist. I walked over to my service adviser, David, and told him I had been waiting for 2 hours for my quick oil change. I was late for another appointment and if they did not start yet to just give the car back and I would come back another time. He said he would go check on it. 5 minutes later he comes back and tells me the car is ready. They pull up the car and said the oil change is free for making me wait for so long. They gave me the 27 point vehicle safety sheet that had some tick mark and was not filled out at all. Assume they were running late and just checked anything to get me out there so I left.

Went to my uncle's shop on a vacation and had him look at my car since I was still concern no one told me to change my transmission fluid. Mechanic there said it looked like my oil was very dark and has not been changed for a long time. Transmission needed to be changed too, as I had suspected. They did not charge me as they are not out there to try to get my money. Just did it for free. Since I was so far away from home and this was a road trip I had to change it so nothing happens to my car as I am hundreds of miles away from home.

Went to Power Nissan and asked to speak to a Manager. First they gave me some stupid explanation that your engine oil can get dirty within 100 miles of driving it. If that is the case why is there a time frame of when your oil needs to be changed? Then people would need to change their oil every week. After not accepting their excuse, I asked for a refund for the pre-paid oil change service. David said ok and that he would take care of it on Monday when the office is open and expect the check in a couple of days.

I went back to Power Nissan of El Monte and asked to speak to a manager. After half an hour I asked to speak to someone again. David asked why I was there. I told him I was here to talk to someone about my dispute. He told me to wait again. After another 15 minutes I asked another service advise if I can speak to a manager. That is when he tells me there are no managers today. I asked how can there be no manager on site. So I asked to speak to someone with authority and I will not leave until I get this resolved. Another half an hour passes by. I start to call my credit card company to see if I can get my money back and maybe leave it at that and not deal with them. That is when they started to talk about towing my car as I was on the phone with the service rep. Then Lou, a manager at the sales department comes over and talks to me. He sounded like he was concern that I would suspect they are not doing what they claim they did (the oil change). He said he would have someone call me on Monday and that was a promise.

A lady at Power Nissan calls and leaves a message on my phone at lunch time. I called her right back and she is off for lunch. I left a message for her to call me back.

Power Nissan still did not call me back. I, again, called them. This is when she told me I should have read the back of the contract and that I needed to contact the corporate office, not them. At the same time, after the 60 days I will not be able to get a full refund. They deliberately dragged this on so I would not get a full refund.
