Power Smart Pricing Ameren Illinois 15% Advertized Savings is actually a 31.9% Loss! Chicago Illinois

A letter from Powr Smart Pricing power offered a 15% savings on my electric charges I normally got from Ameren Illinois. They claimed they are "a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people save energy and money . . . at wholesale rates." You must commit to one year. From Nov to July I paid $135 more than if I had stayed with Ameren. Two months were over $40 more than my electric company, Ameren. They claim they did not forsee the increase in power costs. Isn't projections their job especially if they are claiming that they want to save the consumer money? I should have known not to trust. Power Smart Pricing's letter head was from Ameren. Why would Ameren offer lower rates? They are not. They are ripping off their consumers.
