A package arrived at our office with postage due. The office staff wrote a check for the $5.01 (they would not accept cash for the amount due). Later it was discovered that $234.00 had been withdrawn from that account by the Power Sports Data. No one authorized the withdrawal. It was found during the monthly bank reconciliation. A report has been filed with the bank and they will conduct a fraud investigation.
This is a very cleaver ploy. Since the amount is so small on the postage due and we do have a few packages come into the office with postage due, no one questioned the transaction until the follow up withdrawal was found in the bank.
It is also very scary that someone can use the information from a small check to access your bank account and make withdrawals. We have not located any written documents were submitted to the bank.

BMW MOA should be ashamed of themselves. This report, by way of massive omission of facts, distortion of events, and direct mis-characterization of facts, is a slanderous lie.
1) We spoke to Ray Zimmerman at BMW MOA on September 7, 2007. He gave us permission to send the start up package via FedEx and was completely aware of the agreed $5.01 charge. This phone call took place at 9:02 AM California time. The call lasted 5 minutes and 30 seconds. The call is recorded. The charge for the call appears on our phone bill on page 44 item 102 (October 13 bill)
2) Tammy Leuthauser (I believe the individual who filled this BS complaint) signed for that package on September 17, 2007. As agreed we PROVIDE A CHECK OF OUR MONEY FOR $30.01. BMW MOA has not to this date offered to return that money. If your doing the math they are $25.00 profit at this point.
Extremely important: This package descries in clear, bold, large print, and red letters, our billing process. We also promised to notify BMW MOA in writing, prior to billing, to give them an opportunity to cancel without charge (and profit $25) if they wished to do so. In other words we were not "hoping they would forget about it". We notified them in advance, in writing, by $5.25 cost flat mailing, priority mail, to give them a chance to cancel without charge if they choose to do so. Feel free to run the USPS Confirmed Delivery tracking number. It is 0307 0020 0004 7350 9905. They had this notification on October 5, 2007.
On October 17, 2007 BMW MOA was billed via auto debit for $234 for 6 months of service (7 months including free 30 day period)
On November 1, 2007 BMW MOA (Tammy) called us with a message to the return the call. We called twice on Friday. The first call resulted in a busy signal. The 2nd call resulted in "she is not in the office at this time"
On November 5th we finally spoke to Tammy. Tammy had amnesia when given the history above. She was abusive to our representative and said her bank would reverse charges. An hour later she called us again to report that her bank would not reverse the charges. We gladly issued a refund. She has been in possession of the refund since the morning of November 6.
I see Tammy and BMW MOA have not rushed here to update the world on the refund received.
We are honestly considering seeking damages for slander from BMW MOA
