I bought a silver coin from this individual based out of Italy. I live in Hawaii. I received said coin and it had rust spots on both sides. I sent the pictures he required (he must have known before it was sent halfway around the world.) He then gave insrutions on how to mail it back. Boxes he said to check and such were not on usps form. It cost me $39.00 to send it back. He refused to reimburse my cost and shorted me on the amount he was going to refund me. All I did was pay for my item and ultimately received nothing for doing buisness with this individual at the cost of $39.00. I then gave negative feedback on ebay. Somehow he fraudulently had it removed. I called ebay and they said they would try to reinstate it, that it shouldn't have been removed. Apparently powercoin must be operating on a shoestring to not even try to make good on the deal. All correspondence was about him and what he was going to do. I think he sent it on purpose so he could dump it. Also, silver don't rust, unless its plated. Beware with this operator, once he's got your money your at his mercy. Powercoins not very merciful. #3 REBUTTAL Owner of company
This is our position, final answer

I forgot to mention a few things in our previous comments.
We are a big company and have thousands of customers as anyone can see from our feedbacks,we are not only Power Sellers but also TOP RATED SELLERS and it means we are the best among the best.
http://feedback.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=powercoin_italy&&_trksid=p2047675.l2560&rt=nc&iid=371042741006&sspagename=VIP:feedback&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller
So, dear Richard Hanley from Honolulu with ebay id "8040098", it is really impossible to carefully inspect any single coin we send out, especially when we think the coins passed the quality control of the mint. As you speak, it seems we are producers of the coins, but we are only reseller. Problems can happen in any field, and among thousands of sales is normal that some piece is not perfect. Of course no one likes to be the one that receive an item with quality problem, but someone will open the box and find something unexpected. That happen, that's why you can easily open a claim on ebay to state that item was not as described, simply because it happens.
To say that we shipped a bad quality item on purpose is really not fair, also because we know that customer can open paypal / ebay disputes and have our funds immediatelly blocked until customer is not completely satisfied. We would never ever take the risk to ship overseas an item that would have a possibility to be returned, cause by ebay rules we have to refund also the original shipping cost, so at the end we would only waste time, money, reimport taxes and a customer. Simply accept that we didn't inspect your coin before shipment, we trusted the mint, and things like this happens.
About your $39.00 spent sorry again for that Richard Hanley, but was only your shipping method chosen. If by a mistake you would have sent it by FedEx Courier you would have spent $100 - $150, according to your request should we refund any amount just because you choose the wrong shipping method? No, sorry.
But, we tried to make you happy anyway, and offered free shipping on next orders (check our last mail), or to replace the coin completely for free. Your answer was a negative feedback as soon as you got your refund. You had this bad surprise prepared for us from the beginning. I was trying to make a nice thing for you, you answered with anger, think twice next time with another seller, you shouldn't behave like that. The fact that ebay removed your feedback, and they rarely do, means we were right and we should not refund anything to you.
We are not pretending to be the victim, or blame anyone. We are only stating that inconveniences happen, the way you approach them, both seller and buyer, determine if an angry customer becomes a happy returning customer, or stay angry and unsatisfied. In your case you didn't accept any solution (exchange / replace / free shipping in next orders) and what did you earn to write here Richard Hanley? Nothing! And I hope that many ebay customers will read this to understand that benig angry and leave negative feedback is the last thing you should do when seller try to solve a problem, and when is not even seller's fault. You also opened a paypal dispute without even contact us by mail or ebay messages, another thing to avoid. Listen to seller answer first, then ope the dispute. If you have a problem with your wife, do you talk to her first, or you go to yout lawyer and let her know through him you initiated a case?
Again, we don't produce those coins, the bad quality which was only on back side (obverse) cause other site was colorized, an you know that, was something we didn't notice. We found out later it was a common problem from the mint, many other coins were affected, and you can find this information on many numismatic forums.
I have nothing else to add. Check our old mails and see if we didn't try to solve the problem in some way. Be happy now with your negative feedback removed, you got nothing in exchange, and being a collector you could have had much more than $39.00 as discounts, free shipping and other benefits keeping buying form us, like hundreds of collectors do every week. Anger leads anywhere Richard, and we hope you will be again our customer to test our excellent service, we still offer free shipping to you, plus $39.00 off on next order, so you would recover all your expenses Richard. But please, no more negative feedbacks ;)

Anyone can see what Anthony is about by his rebuttal of my original report. Only a bold faced fraud would send the garbage he sent me halfway around the world to begin with. If the fool had of told me he was sending rust, I would have told him to just refund me, don't send it. He should have been ashamed, but no, he went the total opposite and I should pay, and check a box that wasn't on the form at the post office. All I should have had to do was open my package and then thank Anthony for the coin. Of course he blamed the mint, they must regularly send "silver " coins with rust. Come on man, couldn't you just apologize? I shouldn't have had to write unfavorable anything. Think about it Anthony.

LIAR!!! Richard Hanley - ((REDACTED))) IS A LIAR

The person who wrote this report is:
RICHARD HANLEY - (((REDACTED)))
We report full data to be fair cause also our full data has been reported.
He is a liar, and we explain why below. I am the owner of Power Coin Italy.
For who doesn't know us, please check our ebay feedbacks for our account powercoin_italy where you can find comments from more than 15,000 happy customers in more than 10 years.
Sometimes, among thousands of sales, something doesn't go smooth as seller and buyer would like to. In case of Richard Hanley, with ebay account "8040098", he received a coin that was not in the expected quality.
We proposed to have it back, and we would have shipped a brand new coin. He decided not to have it replaced, but to get a refund, and according to ebay rules he accepted buying the item, the seller refunds the item price + original shipping cost, and the buyer returns the item at his cost. This was accepted by contract when you buy on ebay, and is not to be re-discussed at later time.
However, if the buyer had followed the correct returning procedure, he wouldn't have spent $39.00 to return the item (also because the original requested shipping cost on our side was only $13.90) and wouldn't have us paid about $50.00 for reimporting the item, like if we were buying from him, cause he didn't correctly indicated it the returning customs form. In a mail he sent us he blamed his wife for this, cause he sent her to post office, but still think it is our fault.
Anyway, we try to make all customers happy, but sometime like in this case is hard. He opened an ebay/paypal dispute, so we had to follow ebay/paypal rules that foresee the refund (item price+shipping cost) through them, not more, not less. He left also a negative feedback one second after he got the refund, and this is a very bad behavior, still demanding for more refund, especially the cost he had to bear to return the item.
Fortunately, ebay removed the negative feedback because was clear that he was demanding more than what was due from our side, and threatening us with the negative feedback. Everybody who buys and sells on ebay knows that a seller cannot remove a negative feedback himself, and when ebay does it clearly recognize the buyer's fault.
However, even after that, we offered the customer a way to recover his lost (due to his wrong returning shipping method), and we offered free shipping on next orders, and also promising a brand new coin to replace the damaged one in case he still wanted it. All is documented in mails we exchanged.
The only thing we heard from him was this report… I let people judge…
My last comment: if you cooperate in a nice way, you reach a good compromise or get what you want. If you leave negative feedbacks, open disputes, and offend your counterpart (also saying we sent a damaged item on purpose) what you can expect?
