This company seems located only off-shore; every sigle rep. who picks up the phone is in the Philippines, even in their "HQ in Cincinnati." We filed a BBB complaint about their unfair billing and pricing practices, and they could not even do it right once and responded and attached records of some other customer, then, instead of apology, argued in their next response that nobody can live without mistakes and signed that looked like a make-up signature. When I e-mailed to the e-mail in their response, I never got a reply.

Looks like a scam.

Went downhill rapidly recently

When I started this company for the great rates several years ago, they had great service.  Very recently, it's all changed.  I moved a few weeks ago and these jokers are no longer around when you need them!

I tried 6 days ago to re-switch my long distance as I moved out-of-state and wanted to keep these guys.  I called, the guy answered right away as I used the number provided in their invoice/user portal.  He said it'd all be hooked up, ready to go in 24-48 hours.  6 days later, it STILL says "order in progress."

Tried calling that number yesterday, while still open.  Put on hold.  Lady on recording says to press 7 to get a callback when I'm next in line.  I do it.  Never got a callback.

 

Got home today.  Tried calling.  Put on hold.  Same recording.  I stay on hold over 20 minutes.  I call service number, put on hold.  I'm trying the number on the main corporate page.  Same annoying recording, same repetitive hold muzak.  This is ridiculous.  Starting to seriously consider dropping these clowns.

Like nearly all major telecom service providers, Powernet maintains an overseas support team to assist with call volume for residential customers. This enables us to reduce hold times and address service issues in a more expedient manner. However, if the customer is routed to the overseas support team and they request to speak with someone in the U.S., the call should be transferred to our service team in Cincinnati. If a team member is not available, the call will go to voicemail and be returned as soon as possible by the U.S.-based team.

Powernet has also received acnkolwedgements by national publications, such as TMC's CUSTOMER Magazine for the products we produce and, equally as important, has been named a recipient of the Medical Mutual Pillar Award for Community Service in Cincinnati 4 years running.
