I purchased what looked like a very nice brand new 250CC dirt bike from PowerSportxMax on 8/20/13.  The unit arrived one week later with missing and broken parts.  Model # DB-P17  250cc .

I've already reached out to a gentlemen at PowerSportsMax via email and received his reply to send him a photo.  That was done along with using their on line process as per the warranty/return policy I found on line.

Lets see what is involved and how long it takes to get brand new and functioning (unbroken) replacement parts for this bike.

39 days and still no replacement parts

AUTHOR: Scott White - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, October 01, 2013

I have now gone back and forth with PowerSportsMax support ( Deealinc as the support emails show)

for 39 days.  first to order a brand new, high performance, fun dirt bike from a reputable, A+ BBB rated

business........well, thats what they were selling me anyway.

The responses have gone from - parts come in tomorrow - call back then, let me check, to we're looking into it, to what was that product again, to what was wrong with it, to let me check on that, parts come in tomorrow - call back then, to let me check, to oh thats out of stock, to let me get back to you, to we'll have to see if we can get that part from China, to we're processing your order for that replacement part, to thank you for your patience while we figure out how not to honor our warranty......maybe you'll just give up and go away and we'll keep your money.

Anyway, like I said - 39 days and I have a really nice looking motorcycle sitting in my garage, waiting for a front wheel and spacer so I can actually use it before winter comes.

Just the facts:

See PowersportsMax order numbers 102255 and 102856.

8/20/13 - bike ordered, to be shipped in appr. 1 week - Order # 102255
8/28/13 - bike arrived in the evening, to be unpacked next day
8/29/13 - bike received with damaged parts and reported immediately, see below.
8/30/13 - damaged parts order placed again to obtain actual order # 102856
9/3/13 - follow up phone discussion with support, see below.
9/5/13 - follow up phone discussion with support, see below.
9/9/13 - follow up phone discussion with support, see below.
9/12/13 - called support again to see if parts are being ordered & shipped.
9/13/13 - I sent a written request for actual tire specs
9/16/13 - I received a response that the tire for my new bike is not in stock
9/16/13 - I asked them to pull a front wheel from other bikes waiting to be sold
9/19/13 - I received email from PowersportsMax asking me to provide wheel dimensions
9/21/13 - I provided the dimensions for the front wheel and spacer.
9/22/13 - They replied - message received and they are checking on it.
9/26/13 -  I have not heard anything else yet.  Calling again after work tonight.

1st reported the damaged part to PowerMaxSports on 8/29/13 after unpacking the shipment.  Filled out the online forms on 8/29/13; but never received a confirmation email, so I filled them out again on 8/30/13 - also did not receive confirmation.

I called PowerSportsMax to speak with support and they asked me to wait a couple of days for the system to file and route my request.

On 9/3/13 - I followed up to see if their system had registered my request and what I should expect as the next step.

During my call on 9/3/13 around 4:45PM, I spoke with Jose, who said that he sees the ticket and it appears to have just been entered.  So he pushed it along to get the status to update to In-process.  Jose also explained that the information I had provided along with the picture, is enough to get the parts sent to me under warranty and that their driver makes runs to their supplier on Tues. & Weds. and I should check back in a couple of days.

I called again on 9/5/13 to see if the driver had picked up my parts; but the gentlemen who answered the phone said that there have been no updates on my order and that the driver would be making another run on Tues. or Weds. of next week and I should check back then.

I called again on 9/9/13 and once again spoke with Jose who told me that the driver makes runs to the supplier on Tues. & Weds. and I should check back later in the week.  Nothing had progressed since my first call on 9/3/13 to confirm receipt of my warranty part request.

I spoke with Jose for a few minutes as he explained that sometimes the parts are just not available and we may have to wait another week or so while their supplier obtains them.  Again, Jose said to check back later in the week to see if anything changes.

I called again on 9/12/13 (after the Tues & Wed. delivery dates) to see if my warranty parts are actually going to be ordered and shipped instead of "in-process"

9/13/13 - I sent a written request for actual tire specs so I could go buy one somewhere on my own while waiting for the replacement from PowersportsMax.

9/16/13 - I received a response that the tire for my new bike is not in stock and there is no ETA.

9/16/13 - I applied logic and asked them to pull a front wheel from one of the other new bikes they still had in stock.  They said they couldn't do it; but they'd ask the manufacturer if they could do so.

9/19/13 - I received an email from PowersportsMax asking me to provide them with exact dimensions of front wheel assembly.  They put my case on HOLD until I could get home to measure and report back to them.

9/21/13 - I provided the dimensions for the front wheel and spacer.

9/22/13 - They replied - message received and they are checking on it.

9/26/13 -  I have not heard anything else yet.  Calling again after work tonight.
