This guy on the phone told me how great his bank was and how all banks got the money from same place and they all were right around same rate. He said if anyone told me a much lower rate they were lying. He also said his bank closed loans in about 2 weeks and no one else did that and they took a month or two.  I got him to email me a quote and was very close to moving forward. Something didn't seem right so I decided to make a call. A quarter percent lower in rate and almost two thousand less in fees. Maybe this was one of those liar. Then another bank was almost the same as the first, a quarter percent lower with lower fees or almost a HALF percent lower with same fees. Then I decided to really see what was going on. All in all I got 4 other quotes that were all MUCH lower then this Precision company. I chose one but was nervous because of all the 'scaring the saleman' did telling me to call him when they changed the rate or fees, or after a month with no closing. Well, maybe I was just lucky but the loan closed in 17 days and was $125/mo less then what I was quoted at PFG and with a thousand less in fees. So much for all the liars and banks that take months to close loans and everybody gets the money at the same price so the rates should be about the same. I almost went with this company because the saleman was very persuasive and then I spent the entire time waiting for the other loan to close anxious because of all the fear he used. I don't know what other peoples experience is with this company, but to me they are vastly overpriced, and rely on salespeople that use fear and misinformation to make you believe that every other bank is lying about their quotes or going to take forever to close and change it all around. If I keep this loan it will cost me nearly $50000 less and it closed in less than 3 weeks. My advise, if you get a quote from this company, make sure you are skeptical of their fear mongering and check with some other banks first. I'll admit I've heard from some friends that used bad lenders and had problems, but a little homework and you can get a great rate closed quickly without too many problems if you are qualified. Just do your homework, I would have tossed a lot of good money away if I hadn't have done mine.

Precision Funding Group LLC Deceptive Marketing

AUTHOR: Jim Creamer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, January 28, 2012

A close relative received a letter from PFG claiming that his home loan has gone under review by their loan restructuring team... new fixed mortgage with a lower monthly payment and/or additional cash out.

The only problem with this deceptive letter was that my close relative had paid his mortgage off in full and so there was no mortgage.

Obviously PFG is buying old credit report lists from somebody and they are claiming that they are actually doing real "reviews" which they are obviously not doing.

In general, I never respond to unsolicited mass mailings.  They are almost always a total unadulterated ripoff - which this obviously is.

As for the mindless drivel that PFG's CEO wrote in response to the intelligent consumer that shopped around after becoming suspicious of PFG - take it for what it's worth!

"We take these matters very seriously"

I can assure you that no one will take the original report seriously.  Even if every word were true, all it describes is someone that shopped around and found a better price.   It happens every day in every type of business.   Only someone as dim as the original poster would think it was an actual ripoff.

Dear Valued Customers

AUTHOR: Wes Deming, President PFG LLC - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 03, 2011

Dear Valued Customers:

We take these matters very seriously, and believe that there is merit in websites that educate consumers to make the right decisions when choosing a company to handle their business.

We have researched the complaint and have determined that there were no customers named "Nancy" that have applied for a loan with our company within the last 45 days.

The last customer named "Nancy" that we have conducted business with, was very pleased with our service, and was a pleasure to work with.  Only problem... she is not from New Jersey.  Please read her email below thanking her loan officer for his work.

Dear Joe,

On behalf of my Dad and myself, I'm writing to thank you for all your help with refinancing our mortgage!  We are thrilled at the low rate you were able to get us!  You answered all the questions we had in a timely manner!  I also was impressed at how quickly the loan closed!  I will definately recommend you and your company to my friends or to anyone that needs help with their finances!  I'm sure we will call you for all our mortgage needs.   Once again, thank you very much.

 Sincerely,

Nancy J. Parfitt

Thank you to our valued customers for continuing to believe in the work we provide.  We take pride in the services we offer.

We believe that this ficticious complaint was written by a disgruntled ex-employee, whom was terminated for failing to execute their duties as a PFG loan officer.  You have my assurance that we will investigate the matter further, and will take proper recourse.  Again, thank you for your continued support!

Best,

Wes Deming
