Premier Fitness in Centerville Ohio are ruthless scams. On Janurary 27th My cousin( not legally )Kris got a phone call stating she won their contest, the one in the Dayton Mall for 200 toward Premier fitness. They said to come in and collect the prize. On January 28th Kris and I went to go and take a look at Premier fitness.

When we got there we were showed around by Jeff Haffner then went to his office to talk about joining. We spoke about what Premier fitness has to offer and the pros to joining Premier rather rather than any other fitness center..He also stated that the certificate Kris had to signed was being printed out from the computer, then we continued to talk about Premier Fitness.

After we got done talking Kris and I worked out then left for the that. The next morning around 10:00AM I got a phone call from Mr.Haffner Stating that Kris forgot to sign the certificate so he can show she received it and that Kris and I needed to come down so it can be signed.

When kris and I came down before Kris and I worked out, we go into his office and he states since Kris doesn't have an Ohio State I.D. and so that the certificate can be used for the both her and me,that I needed to sign it and put the certificate in my name. Kris and I both told Mr.Haffner that we weren't sure of signing up and was not considering signing at contract at this time,we;d like to come here a it and see if we wanted to sign. Mr.Haffner stated that I still needed to sign the certificate.

He holds it on the wall and with his hand covering the top of the paper and then pins it with a tac, as I am leaning in to sign.As I am leaning in to sign I hold back and ask him" is this a contract?"Because if so i am not signing it, he assured me that it is not a contract, it is the certificate. So I went ahead and signed.Mr. Haffner did not go over the "certificate" with me in any form and just told me to sign at the line. And so I did knowing it was a contract.

Not realizing it was a contract until I had my cousin Corinna added on the account I contfronted Mr.Haffner about me signing a contract. He continued to say what do you think that yellow paper was? I told hi mthe yellow paper wasn't the contract because the paper that is the actual contract was indeed white. I hashed it out with him for days.

I told him I wanted to split the membership, because Kris was thinking about canceling her membership due to the un-faithfulness of Premier Fitness. And I didn't want to be subject to paying her and mine, if she's not going to attend. He said we can do that so I am not responsible for her bill.Mr.Haffner also stated that  I needed to bring Kris in to do so.And so I do and he procrastinates about doing so until the next day because he was about to leave.

When Kris and I come in I told him I'm not re-signing my contract.Because also I noticed he didn't give me or Kris a copy of the contract. And I told them I was done getting the run around. So I ask to put my account on freeze until everything can be settled and he says that's not possible. I wanted to cancel my account but I didn't make it in time for the Ohio 3 day law. And I'm hoping if I have to take this to court, that they will take into consideration the mis-representation of it, even though I didn't read it.

Hello there, I have found myself in a similar situation with the Ladies Premier Fitness in Middletown OH. My sister and I were led to believe the following by an employee named Autumn:

* Our contract was for 12 months.

* We were both on one spousal contract and we therefore received a discounted membership rate.

* We could CALL AND CANCEL our contract during the next three days and it would not be activated.

Instead, Autumn signed us up for 36 months, we were on two separate contracts and now owe them two separate cancellation fees of more than $800 a piece, and we found out our memberships were NOT cancelled after we called and were told by the employee over the phone that "everything was taken care of."

At this time we have enlisted the help of an attorney and we are looking into filing a class action lawsuit against Premier Fitness because their employees (in the case of my sister and I) are guilty of misrepresenting the contract given to us. We have also written into the Middletown Journal to forewarn potential customers about this 'business'; in addition we have written a letter to the Mayor in an effort to make him aware of these unethical business practices. We are considering taking our story to local news stations.

Would you be interesting in joining forces against this company? Were you able to resolve any of your issues with the business? Any response would be most appreciated!
