Premier Holiday Vacations/Premier Holiday Travel Scammed approx $6,000 from me when I purchased a vacation time share at the Gran Porto Real in Playa del Carmen, Mexico approx 5 yrs ago. Orlando Florida

I stayed at the Grand Porto Real resort in Playa del Carmen approx 5 yrs ago. Upon settling into my room, the phone rang non-stop requesting that I come to a desk in the lobby to complete my registration. Well, this ended up being a time share scam. It sounded so good in the beginning.

I would receive 14 free nights per year at this resort or a sister property. For any unused nights, I was to receive a yearly check. The package would pay for itself I was told. I paid my maintenance fees for a couple of years---then tried to make reservations to no avail.

I was quoted the market price for a room, and their alleged airfare discount was higher than all others I priced. I stopped paying my maintenance fees as a result. I wrote letters explaining my dissatisfaction, but never received a reply. I last paid my maintenance fees in 2005 and was told by MOnterey Financial Services that they would not harrass me again due to my dissatisfaction and such.

Well, they continue to call about every two months threatening to ruin my credit rating if I don't pay. I told them to feel free to sue me, but I wasn't paying a dime. I wrote Premier Holiday Vacations, or whoever they may now be called and told them to re-sell my package as they did not keep up thier end of the contract. I informed them that I would not be contacting them to make travel arrangements since their services were a scam. I never received a reply.

I am livid about this and want to stop being harrassed. This is a major fraud scheme going on and needs to be stopped. I am out about $6,000. I can live with that if the Monterey Financial goons would quit calling me.
