I went to interview with this D2D Marketing Company which is a front for HomeFix Remodelers. They pitch a speil about how great it is to work for them, and how great the training is, and how they do all this demographics in regard to home targets..blah blah blah, so I decided to come back for day 1 training.

Day 1- This guy starts out with a Reverend Ike money tree/prayercloth sell about how much money he'smade(500,000....ohh wait, then later it was 400,000), flased his BMW Key Fob, showed a picture of his $1000 watch box, and supposedly his girlfriend(at a glance, I'd say internet swipe). He brings in one guy who he says basically didn't have a pot to p**s in or window to throw it out of, but in the 4 months he's been with the company he now lives in a single family home in an exclusive area of town(he neglected to say it was renting the basement), he also stated this guy had the record for same day leads totaling 34. Next he brings in another guy and triumphantly gives him a $200 bonus for certain leads he got for banging on doors...impressive!

Next was the general meeting before shuffling off to hit the streets. After a bunch of hype and pomp, the same pitcher calls up the same second guy and triuphantly hands out the $200 bonus again for the next audience to wow on! (you are healed! two shows in a row). The owner gives a bunch of spiel and states that another guy in the room had the record for same day leads at 34...which guy was it? This was all sort of shady, but I decided to hit the streets.

My day 1 was basically a "fly by the seat of your pants" situation with going to a neigborhood, knocking on doors untill 8 p.m.

Day 2, unorganized BS, going to areas that had little percentage of gaining leads(new residences and townhomes), and having people threaten to call the police, getting back to the office couldn't come any sooner

In summary, it appears you have 15 managers sitting around all day in "meetings" doing something close to nothing(otherwise, things wouldn't be so dysfunctional), while the foot patrol braves the cold/heat doing the grunt work. My advice...find something else...this is a waste of time.
