I received a summon in which I call Pressler & Pressler to let them know that I did not receive any information for this company that they are representing; so to avoid court; I suggest that I paid monthly payment, the paralegal told me that she can not accept my offer and that I need to pay a large amount in which right now I can afford. I am a single mother with a one income household at this time. I send what I could in which I know that they are not going to accept it. I going to keep my copy and if they take me to court and going to see if i can afford a lawyer and show the judge that I try to paid. But as I did research I found out a lot of things about this firm, so now I want them to proof to me that this debt is vaild and still with in the SOL.
So if anyone is going to do class action suit I am in; I not going to let these people scare me into paid so old debt they that probably do not have to right too, and if they win againstme I will appeal and appeal until it is done right.

Okay STOP what you are doing, as if I am reading this report correctly you are causing yourself more problems.
First there is nothing illegal if a company files a suit against a person who owes money and it is still within the Statute of Limitations. With that said, Pressler and Pressler/Midland are "Bottom Feeders". In that they buy up very old debts, that are past the SOL, in the hopes to get people to pay up in order to "avoid court".
Please don't say that you did send money already. Because if you did you MAY have reset the SOL, making the suit valid. It is also too late for Debt Validation. Yes DV keeps a collection agency from taking further action such as filing a suit. But the suit was already filed. So you MUST go to court and have them prove that you owe the debt during the hearing. Regardless of what they tell you, still go to court. If you do not go to court to defend yourself they will get a default judgment, SOL or not. Don't think that you would be able to appeal your way out of this.
The best thing you can do is at least consult with a lawyer to find out exactly where you stand.
