I purchased a 2004 subaru legacy from prestige subaru in march 2004. They told me if I needed anything to let them know. First they kept my refunds that were do to me and said they couldn't find my phone number I guarntee if I owed them money they would have found that number. Then I leave my car for a week while on vacation to do warranty work I call in on Friday and they say it is ready when I get there nothing has been done big liars!!!

Now I have rust on my rotors and they will not do anything to correct problem said it is not bad I don't guess it is if it's not their car. Said happens all the time and they weren't going to do anything about it. This is a big rip off I should have been told about this before I bought my second subaru from same dealer. please don't buy subarus they will rip you off lie to you and never call back

Someone needs to get a life

I bought my first car from Prestige in 1999. I was so pleased that I bought another in 2000, then another in 2002, then 2 in 2004, 2006, and 2 in both 2007 and 2008.

In regards to them "keeping your rebates" you must not be very proficient at reading comprehension. On your bill-of-sale the rebate is shown at the bottom in a box labeled, guess what, REBATE!! Shocking but true!!! Rebates don't come to the customer, they apply towards the purchase of your car! Maybe you should have said something before you signed the form. (But my guess is that you're just trying to scam somebody for some quick cash.)

Call ANY brake shop and ask them if rotors will rust, THEY WILL TELL YOU YES! Rotors are made of non-painted, non-coated IRON. What happens to iron when exposed to air? IT RUSTS! SHOCKING BUT TRUE!!!!!!!! Test it for yourself!

Also, why did you edit your post in 2008? Sounds a bit fishy!!! What kind of scam are you trying to run here lady? Trying to extort money from them or something?

I've bought and serviced MANY cars at Prestige. They have never done anything at all underhanded to me, I'd recommend them to anybody wanting a good deal on a car.

Ignore this lady, she has no idea what she is talking about obviously.

Weird Company

I've had some really odd encounters with these guys.

I feel like they've given me some good deals, and treated me ok, but...some odd stuff.

They passed inspection on one of my car's without checking anything at all. Just slapped the sticker on when my repair work was done because I mentioned that it still needed it. Maybe he had checked all that stuff earlier.

Another time I brought in my Subaru because the wiper blade wasn't working. They checked one aspect of it, which did work, and said nothing was wrong, made fun of me and said there was nothing to fix - but seriously, the thing only half worked. A week later the wipers entirely failed in a horrible storm while I was on the highway in bad traffic, a worst-case scenario that nearly cost me my life. The fuse was bad.

When a system in your car doesn't work over and over, and happens to work partially once for the repair people - that does not mean the problem is over, and they shouldn't have assumed I was an idiot who didn't know how to operate my own car. It was my second Subaru Legacy, I knew how they worked. If they had listened to me and treated me with dignity, I wouldn't have been in such a life-threatening situation.

Rusty rotors

I know this is an old report, but in case someone else runs across it like I did, I want to point out something about the rusty rotors.

Rotors are made of what? Iron.

Rust is what? Iron Oxide.

Rotors do get surface rust on them when the car sits for any length of time, and it doesn't really take very long. Rust on rotors only indicates that the car hasn't been driven for a while. Drive it and the rust quickly gets scrubbed off by the brake pads.

What even happened. Did u ever get your refunds and what are refunds. And no wonder your car has rust on the brakes after it sits for over a week. I dont work for this place and i dont even live there. You sound like a "HOOK". You hook on to a dealership and want everyone to kiss ur butt cause u bought something. What even happends, ur story makes no sense. Subau is the best cars made, what could possibly be the problem.
