Presto Auto Loans Fraud, scammers, corrupt business practices. These people MUST be stopped!!! Phoenix Arizona

I was going through some hard times and found myself in dire straights. After being berated, lectured, and humilated I received an auto title loan from Presto Auto Loans for $3,000. I have been making regular payment per the agreement that I signed and sending in the payment coupons from the payment booklet that I was given. Upon calling to receive my final payement amount which is due 4/20/09 I was informed that I owed in excess of $3,000.!!! Imagine my shock and horror? My original loan was for $3,000. of which I had paid in excess of $5,000 for!

When I questioned this amount I was told that due to paperwork that I failed to send them upon one request was not received in 11/07 they added $1,000 to my orginal loan and that my monthly oayment over the last 16 months should have been higher. I never signed any papers reflecting this change. They never even informed me of this change! They "claim" to have sent me a letter (not registered) which I never received. The man told me that it was simply my word against theirs. If that isn't shady I don't know what is! I told him that they had no problem calling me if a payment was late but they could not call me to inform me that they changed the terms of my loan!!! Unacceptable! I even made sure that I submitted a change of address with them when I moved in October of 2008. I have not changed jobs. I need help with this!!!! I have a couple of feelers out with some lawyers but am getting nervous! Any and all help would be very much apreciated. I don't know where to go from here!
