My family moved into our townhouse about two years ago. By the way, we have four children, six and under.

The following summer, we noticed mold starting to grow in our basement. Immediately, I call Mr. Burns, my landlord. As usual he had his secretary say he was busy. I reported the mold and he never called me back. In a week's period I called twice a day, everyday.
Finally he sent his "property manager" over to view the mold in our basement. I also compiled a list of estimates from mold inspectors that I gave to her. Nothing was done.

He then was in our neighborhood to complain that we weren't cutting our grass. (sort of petty compared to toxic mold, don't you think.) I explained to him that my husband was a retail manager and was not home very much and that I was 8 months pregnant. He didn't seem to care. After some convincing he came down in the basement to see the mold. He said that we should clean it ourselves.

During the early fall his wife came by and also saw the mold. She told us to buy a humidifier and then try cleaning it up. Since this mold has been growing, the children have gotten random fevers and we all have been suffering fatigue.
We are trying to find a home to rent, but have had no luck yet. So as long as we are stuck here, we would like to get the mold problem taken care of, we would also like to be compensated. Please comment, or please get us some help. Not even for my husband and I, but for our babies. They deserve better than this, and we are trying to give it to them, but it is difficult with no help.
