On 12/13/06, I purchased a 14K gold chain from Pricerock.com's website for $85.51, which was paid via paypal. I received the chain 10 days later. Following Pricerock's return policy on their website, I returned the chain in its original box and invoice via USPS with delivery confirmation. According to the USPS tracking number, Pricerock received my return on 1/5/07. I also included a letter requesting that the returned chain be exchanged for a different chain, which was advertised on their website for $120.73. Thus, I included a personal check for $32.22 for the difference between new chain and the returned chain. Pricerock's website states that returns are processed within 10 business days. It has been 2 weeks and Pricerock has not sent me the requested exchange, has not cashed my check, and has not contacted me. I have sent numerous email messages to Pricerock, each of which was responded to with the same auto reply. I have called Pricerock (1-888-465-3810), but their phone is answered by a recording. I have left a voicemail message, but nobody has called me back.

Finally, the bottom of Pricerock's website shows icons for Yahoo!Shopping (with the max 5 star customer rating), Shopping.com, Shopzilla (with an outstanding customer rating), and Epinions.com. None of these icons are linked to the respective websites. Moreover, Pricerock is not listed in either Yahoo!Shopping's or Shopping.com's merchant directories. And, Shopzilla and BizRate's websites show no rating nor reviews for Pricerock. Thus the icons at the bottom of their website are misleading, if not deceptive advertising.

Pricerock no longer falsely advertises membership shopping websites!

Pricerock.com has removed the icons for Yahoo!Shopping (with the max 5 star customer rating), Shopping.com, Shopzilla (with an outstanding customer rating), and Epinions.com from the bottom of its website.

I notified each of these online shopping networks of Pricerock's use of their logos when none of their merchant directories listed Pricerock as a member.

So, at least there was some success in eliminating their deceptive advertising. Now if only I can get the $117.73 from them that they owe me for a return!

Pricerock.com takes more of my money gives 0 in return!

In my original report about Pricerock.com, which was submitted on 1/19/2007, I stated that they had not cashed a personal check that I sent to them. However, my bank records show that they cashed the check on 1/19/2007. So, this company currently has $117.73 of my money, with $85.51 since 12/13/2006, and as of 2/2/2007, I have received nothing in return (what I want is a full refund). Furthermore, nobody from this company has contacted me, despite numerous email messages from me, a phone message requesting them to return my call, and a certified letter sent to them. Consumers BEWARE of this company, which also sells jewelry on eBay (make sure you read the feedback that others have left before bidding on one of their eBay items, you may change your mind)!
