PriceShuffle.com scammed me out of $149.

I had read an article online by an "investigative reporter" who was looking into penny auctions. She had found PriceShuffle and had a very good experience with them. The author indicated she had done research and checked out their site so it seemed a legitimate enterprise to me.

Uncharacteristically trusting of me, I took this "reporters" word and looked at PriceShuffle. Read over the FAQ and decided what the hell, what could it hurt. I signed up.

While thinking credit information up front wasn't a big deal since I had hoped to be buying an item or two, I hadn't seen anywhere that they were going to tag me for $149 for a bid package. I would not have signed up if I had know that.

I immediately contacted PriceShuffle by email advising them I wanted to cancel my registration and was basically told, sorry...

There is no doubt in my mind that the article I read was a scam to lure others into this scheme.

You might still be able to get a refund...

AUTHOR: Edgeman - (U.S.A.)

PriceShuffle has been known to give refunds to people who make enough noise.

By the way, the news reports was fake. Go back to that page and try clicking around.

I will suggest that in the future you carefully read all of the details before giving any website your credit card information. As you will see from the attached image, there is a field on the left side of the sign-up screen that has a $149 bid package automatically selected. This is actually harder to see than the old graphic but it is visible if you look at the whole page.

Best of luck to you. I hope that you get a refund.
