This happened about five years ago and I have tried to obtain a refund, with no success. I was advised by the telephone representative that I would receive a MAJOR Credit Card with a $5000 credit limit within 60 days. I had to pay approx. $150 with a check by phone. The 60 days came and went; the time for me to request a stop payment was long gone; as Prime One Financial had already cashed the check. As a former "Skiptracer" and internet researcher, I tried every avenue to obtain a refund for this credit card scam. When I called the 800 number that I was given at the time of the transaction, I was given the number to Prime One Financial and told to call 416-542-1611. Placed many calls, but NEVER reached a real person. I only was given the option to leave a message. I called on MANY different days, at different TIMES of the day. No calls were ever returned. Since I realized ot was a Rip-Off scam; I never really expected a response. Beware of ALL offers for ANY credit cards over the phone. They will probably be using a telemarketing group and you will not obtain a REAL company contact number until it is too late to do anything. Do not bother trying to call 416-542-1611 as the number is disconnected.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds
I used to work for them I discovered it was a scam
AUTHOR: Liam - (Canada)
SUBMITTED: Sunday, April 16, 2006
I was 14 when I worked there, and quit immediately when I discovered it was a scam.
They were working out of 2 offices, one was located at 60 St. Clair Avenue East on the 3rd floor, and 344 Bloor St West on the 5th floor, all in Toronto, Ontario. Neither call centre exists anymore. I reported both of them to the police, and they both got raided.
Sorry that I didn't realize that it was a scam at first. I reported it as soon as I knew.
They were using a name called Veritech Communications, although I can't find any places by that name.
