I have to tell you what happened to me in 1995. Before the proflieration of the Internet, and before I found this website so the story occurred a while ago. I am open-minded and I don't want to hurt anyone. I graduated from a local community college and I attend a job fair prior to graduation. I received a call to go to an interview with Primerica Financial. Being a naive 22 year old, I was eager to give my all to an employer who wants to talk to me. I agreed to meet a guy at a local IHOP. Like a smart college graduate, I researched the company for information and I found some good and bad information about the company. The guy paid for my lunch and he ask me different questions. And he told me that I have a speech impairment, that is true and he told me that I can overcome it by working with them. I agreed to the position at first. I was still vague about the company. It seems to me that Primerica fools people through their igonorage. I have read many post on this thread and it seems consistent. When I went to a university library to further research Primerica, I found terrible information about the company. I felt ashamed to be associated with Primerica. I woke up in a cold sweat thinking that the law enforcement would prosecute anyone associated with Primerica. I knew I had to quit for my moral and integrity. I questioned my supervisor about the company and he told me to come to the meeting which is the meeting newcomers come to. I feel insulted just being with newcomers since I thought I was a new hire. They promised to waive the fee for the insurance license and training. I am left vague and confused about their company. I called my supervisor and told him that I quit. Even though on the interview, I told him that I am not a quitter. I lied and I am glad that I gave them a taste of their own medicine. I save my information about the company because I was ready to prove to anyone that it is a major fraud. Thank you for having this site, it is true. And I am on a job-hunt and found out that another person is interested with Primerica. I learned my lesson 8 years ago, almost to the date with about 2 months to go. I feel vindicated and I would want to save someone the same humiltation and pain I been through. I am not the more informative person on this thread but it is a different prospective. Thank you for reading this post. My grammar and punctation is not good, but I hope I made my point. Community College Graduate South Bay of LA, California

further news for Jorge

AUTHOR: Leroy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 21, 2006

1. Primerica is NEVER the cheapest term insurance available. The only classification primerica competes in is 30 YEAR term insurance, healthy non-smoking males, ONE MILLION COVERAGE OR MORE!!!!! In each and every other category they get creamed by the competition.

2. If your car insurance went from $1500 to $500 for more coverage then there was an underlying reason. Its believable if you had a few tickets or accidents fall off your record you could double your coverage and pay 2/3rds less. Other than that its impossible. Car insurance, like term life insurance, can vary greatly from company to company. Shop for both....(which means you wouldn't buy primerica term).

3. Avon may rip people off by selling them a $4 bar of soap for $20, however, losing $16 on a bar of soap isn't quite as damaging to a middle class family as paying an extra $75,000 to $100,000 in interest for a ridulously expensive loan program.

4. Jorge says primerica doesn't issue the SMART loan, (the ridiculously expensive loan referenced above)issued by Citigroup HOWEVER, primerica has a choice of loan programs to offer. It chooses to offer the Citibank not-so-SMART loan because its so front loaded with expenses it can support primerica's bloated multi-level commission structure. As a SUBSIDIARY of Citigroup, and not a division of Citigroup, it means primerica could say no to citigroup and offer a fair loan instead.
However birds of a feather flock together and primerica and citigroup have a shared interest in overcharging middle class families for loans.

5. Lastly Jorge, the mutual fund decides how small an initial investment they are willing to take. Once they establish that the same figure must be used for each and every broker-dealer they do business with.

Jorge...start packing

AUTHOR: Leroy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 21, 2006

Jorge...start packing your bags. I can open accounts through my broker-dealer, who is nationwide, for $25. There is no enforced minimum. We start accounts with $25 all day every day inside of 403b plans and SIMPLE IRA plans. I personally don't do 403b's because its not my market, but I have two employers with blue collar workers who can contribute to a SIMPLE IRA for $25 a month, and they do. I do the paperwork. Since I have the group health insurance for these employers which makes me about $800 a month between them, plus I do their life insurance, I don't mind doing the SIMPLE IRAs.

I try to limit what I do in securities to variable annuities with guaranteed living benefits. I'm not a big fan of mutual funds after all the scandals, manipulations, hijinks and collapses of the last several years. I advise MIDDLE CLASS unsophisticated clients to turn the investment risk over to an insurance company, take a slightly lower return, but rest easy that their retirement nest egg can't get decimated again the next time Citigroup partners up with a cancerous corporation like Enron and screws up the financial markets. Sophisticated investors do not like my approach and thats ok with me. They don't need anyones help.

Now the trick is, the editor's won't allow me to mention my broker dealer here.....and my broker-dealer wouldn't allow it. So how do I get you the name? Send me your postdated resignation letter to primerica and I'll put the name on on a sticky note to it and send it back to you. After you check out the veracity of my claim you can then send that resignation letter in to primerica.

After that you can then investigate the REAL WORLD and find out how many lies you swallowed without question at primerica. You can then proceed to find out you can do EVERYTHING YOU DO NOW AT PRIMERICA, only with better more affordable products for your clients, and make more money for yourself in the meantime.

Best wishes in your new career.

Rebutting Jorge (Miami) again

AUTHOR: Stuart - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 20, 2006

Jorge,

You say, "if you can show me a major mutual fund company that will allow you to open up a mutual fund account with only $25.00 than I will take back what I said and will leave _________." In fact many do. At a number of companies, their employees can participate in making mutual fund investments through payroll deductions which companies contribute to.

You say, "Our insurance is not the cheapest all the time." Crimerica says, "PFS charges more than many of its competitors in the term market, but consumers seem willing to pay for what they perceive as better service, Albanese said. Even Travelers, its sister company, charges less for term products." (from Crimerica's metamorphosis website, doesn't explain what that "better service" is). I regard term insurance as toilet paper because Crimerica's insureds outlive the policy.

You say, "I never seen any site attacking avon products or sales tactics." That's because Avon doesn't misrepresent nor commit fraud the way Crimerica does.

I can go on but I'm sure Leroy and others want to have their say too. Burn this into your brain Jorge:

"Victim of a consumer Rip-off? Want justice? Rip-off Report is a worldwide consumer reporting Website & Publication, by consumers, for consumers, to file & document complaints about companies or individuals who ripoff consumers."

Response to your attacks

First to answer the questions above.

1) Yes you are right Cary & Patricia Geensburg are the ones who pay me, not Primerica. Each Primerica office is independently owned by either a Regional Vice President or higher or a Regional Leader in some rare cases. Before you ask those rare cases would be were the Regional Leader has a team of at least 20 reps, with at least 12 actively producing. Primerica only pays the reps who are licensed. The employees like myself who are office manager are hired by the reps to help with the office work and are paid by the reps.

2) In regards to investment if you can show me a major mutual fund company that will allow you to open up a mutual fund account with only $25.00 than I will take back what I said and will leave Primerica. And I'm not talking about ((( company names redacted by ROR))) , I want a national broker like ((( company names redacted by ROR))), etc. They all ask for at least $1000.00 to open an account. We allow clients to open with just $25.00. They won't make tons of interest, but at least we give them an opportunity to start an investment plan.

3) Our insurance is not the cheapest all the time, but most of the times it is. ((( company name redacted by ROR)))car insurance claims they get the cheapest insurance, I was paying $1500.00 per 6 months, full a crappy coverage. I now pay $500 per 6 months with ((( company name redacted by ROR))), for double coverage. Does not make ((( company name redacted by ROR))) the worst company in the world.

4) Our licenses are issued by the states not by Primerica. However I just completed my 40 pre-license class in Florida. Only paid $199.00, this covers class, application fees, finger print fees, and appointment fees. Check out Miami-Dade College which is our cheapest community college, they charge you $795.00 for just the class alone, if you were trying to get licensed on your own without using primerica.
If I ever wanted to leave Primerica and go work for ((( company name redacted by ROR))) I could do it just take my license with me. Are they criminals too.

Avon also has a sales force of over 100,000 people nationwide, are they ripping people off by selling $20.00 soap bars and $40.00 lotion bottles. I never seen any site attacking avon products or sales tactics.

5) In regards to the Smart Loan, this is offered through citibank and/or cititrust corp. Not Primerica. Primerica has no control of what the interest will be.

6) You are right I'm not yet economically stable, I've only been working for them for 2 months. However only in the last 2 months have I've been able to to make all my payments on time. Yes true only get $13.00 per hour. However until two months ago, only made 10.00 per hour and had to kill myself working. Here they pay me weekly, get paid for 40 hours and only work about 35 hours per week. Several of my friends have bachelors degrees, and are making what I make. No body in Dade or broward county wants to pay, becuase this is a state of immigrants, specially illegal ones who work for pennies. But for a 24 year old, I'm happy with my salary. And before you go complaining yes I'm paid by Cary & Patricia not Primerica.

As I said each office is independently owned, as is ((( company name redacted by ROR)))and all the others major carriers. They just use the logo and trademark name of the main company. Do you think that every Mcdonalds or Century 21 is actually owned by such entity. They are indepedent business owners who pay to use those names and sell only those products. Only difference in Primerica we dont have to pay to use thier name and work under thier logo.

#6 Consumer Suggestion

Jorge......Read and Understand

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 11, 2006

If you read all these negative posts, Jorge, most of them have one thing in common. Primerica has not been "truthful". Example:

I am a mortgage broker. Have been for many years. I joined Primerica to do insurance in addition to my current ventures. However, when I saw how they ran the mortgage scam (yes its a scam), I wondered how they approached the insurance and investments.

So answer me this, Jorge. How is changing someones mortgage to a higher interest rate, higher payments, beneficial to your clients? Its not. Never. And before you run off with the "we can help them get out of their mortgage sooner" line, so can I. In fact, I can do it for FREE using their CURRENT LENDER at their CURRENT RATES. Which means, they can pay off their mortgage sooner, not have to refi (which they would have to do with you) and incur all those other fees.

Consider this, your SMART loan does not work most of the time? Why? Because a majority of the people will not hold their mortgage that long. Most move, or refi within 7 to 10 years. Something your little smart loan does not take into account, something that consumers need to be made aware of.

I have said this before on the other topics. If you want to do what is in the best interest of your client, find the BEST product, for the BEST terms, at the BEST price. Primerica does not do that, never have, never will.

Quoting:

"All they do is attack primerica..." Er um isn't the title of this website Ripoff Report? You must have missed the mission statement in the opening paragraph, shiller, which I'll happily reproduce for you:

"Victim of a consumer Rip-off? Want justice? Rip-off Report? is a worldwide consumer reporting Website & Publication, by consumers, for consumers, to file & document complaints about companies or individuals who ripoff consumers."

Now shiller you're not a complaining consumer of Crimerica and you're not an authorized representative from Crimerica to come trolling over here and act on Crimerica's behalf. And you're certainly not helping the victims of Crimerica.

"...using base-less ignorant complains, all becuase they failed, and realized they were nothing more than a complete failure and have nothing better to do with thier lives than complain about thier employers."Failed!" "failure!" Hell you can't even spell words such as
"their" or "because" (I guess you're too cheap or
lazy to download a free spellchecker).

"Becuase I have seen how much money they make..."
"I have no license with primerica, and only get paid $13.00 per hour, to manage their office." If
they make so much money, how come they only pay you $13 an hour to manage their office? (another question, is it Primerica or Cary and Patricia that pay you?).

"They help people get out of debt,..." Crimerica/
Citigroup becomes the new creditor.

"...reduce mortgage..." it never has been documented on Ripoff Report.

"So stop complaining, get a life and maybe one day you can retired and make $400.00 a month from your govertment check."

Talk about getting a life. It seems you don't have much one of your own, shiller, to come whining to Ripoff Report calling victims of Crimerica failures.

Talk about getting a life. It seems you don't have much one of your own, shiller, to come whining to Ripoff Report calling victims of Crimerica failures.

Rebutting Jorge (Miami) - shiller, to come whining to Ripoff Report calling victims of Crimerica failures.

#1 UPDATE Employee

Response to Primerica Employment Attacks

AUTHOR: Jorge - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 11, 2006

Unlike most who complain in these rip-off reports and don't provide any way of contacting them. Or information on thier background. All they do is attack primerica and its affilates, using base-less ignorant complains, all becuase they failed, and realized they were nothing more than a complete failure and have nothing better to do with thier lives than complain about thier employers.

So with this said, my name is George B, I live in Miami, Florida, and work for a Primerica Regional Vice President whose office is in 4801 S. University Drive, Davie, FL 33328. Their name is Cary & Patricia Geensburg. I'm their office manager. I have no license with primerica, and only get paid $13.00 per hour, to manage their office. I will be however be joining primerica in the next few weeks, why?

Becuase I have seen how much money they make, they treat me better than any other employer, and have been to the homes of almost all the sales reps, and thier homes are the biggest I've ever seen.

They are all proud of what they do. They help people get out of debt, reduce mortgage and life insurance payments. And help with your investment needs.

And before you go attacking primerica investment practices. Primerica itself does not invest your money or even touch it. You know who does Franklin Templeton, American Funds, Fidelity, Washington Mutual Funds, State of Colorado funds, Scholars Choice 529 Colorada & Virginia Educational Funds. Banc of America Investment funds. As for mortgage issues, all mortgage's are issued directly by CityBank not Primerica.

And as for us being scammer or ripoff, all their reps are license in each state to sell the products they offer. In other words if we sell mortgage we must be license mortgage brokers, if we sell life insurance then we need the Florida 2-15 license. And for investment we need to be licensed with S&P and NASDAQ federal regulating boards. Primerica Investors have Series 6 & Series 63 investment license.

For those complaing I want to see you pass this exams on your first try. I have 2 bachelors degrees, and graduated with 3.0 GPA. And before joining primerica I've failed these exams 3 times. In fact for our florida life insurance license we only have a 22% pass rate on the firt time.

The $200.00 we pay primerica upon joining is to cover the state license fees, becuase our class is free. And if you were to take the class online just the class itself is over $300.00 in any insurance school. For that matter 2 years ago I work as security guard had to spend over $400.00 in licensing and classes, just to end up getting paid $8.00 per hour later, and working nights and weekends. So for everything you need a license. License cost money. Dam I even have to pay $10.00 a month to Bank of America just to have a freaking account.

Lastly all their offices get at least 10 visit per year from both state and federal regulators, and from auditors. In addition primerica internal auditors and regulators also visit the offices regularly, and if things are not the way they should be, they get fined, and or even closed out.

In conclusion, just becuase you dont have the skills to make money or work as an independent contractor. And just becuase you have been programmed to think that if you make to much than it must be illegal. And just becuase you got a degree, and all you learned in college was that when you graduate you work for someone else. Then it's not primerica fault. and lastly how you do you think the employees from E-trade, sharebuilder.com, Statefarm, Fidelity, TD-Waterhouse, make thier moeny? No different then primerica does. You can call these companies and find out yourself.

My own dad work all his life for someone else until he retired at 67 two years ago, he retired with debt and a remaining 30 year mortgage. Last year he started his own construction business working for himself, we not only have 18 years left in the mortgage, and we made all our money repairing roofs and damges from victims of Huricana Katrina here in Florida. But as I said before, not every one is smart enough to work for themselves. Even with my own dad it took him over 30 years to figure that out.

So stop complaining, get a life and maybe one day you can retired and make $400.00 a month from your govertment check.
