On Nov 2nd, my daughter was married at the Princess Wedding Chapel. Our doubts started not soon after booking and making the deposit. Every time we called to confirm something we talked to a different person and got a different answer. The week of the wedding we thought everything was going to be OK. As far out as 8 weeks before the wedding friends and family had already booked flights and hotels so Vegas it was.

I fly for Alaska Air group, (Horizon) and spoke with my supervisor, the week of the wedding. He said he knew nothing of the princess wedding chapel but that the hotel that it was in was 1 star, maybe!! I called and was once again reassured that they were first rate and all my daughters dreams, and wished would be met. I was told at this time that the lady who booked my daughter was fired for making promises to brides that could not be meet but that all promises to Jennifer would be honored.

We arrived on Nov 1st and went right to the chapel and were shocked. It was not at all what we had hoped for. We meet with Renee, she assured us that everything would be ok. I wanted to get our money back and run, we had already paid in full. My daughter was so upset that she said lets just do it here "Renee said it would work out". Well what could go wrong did. The limo was to pick up the bridal party at our hotel at 3:15pm. The bridal party waited until 4pm and then took a cab.

The same happened to the groomsmen. My daughter showed up mad and upset only to get more upset to find that she could not get into the dressing room because there was already a bride there who's wedding was already an hour late. The flowers looked old and used, the pictures were a joke, orange and heads cut off, eyes closed. She promise that there would be someone to check names at the door for the banquet, there was not and when asked why she said well I am going to do it as soon as I finish the pictures, but in the meantime the buffet manger is upset that the guest are not in and seated. It was just one mess after another.

The web site misrepresent, trust me it is not as nice as it looks, they boldly lie to you, telling you what ever you want to hear with the pretense that they just want you to be happy. If that was true they would have told us up front that they could not meet our needs and sent us somewhere else.

We leave Vegas with bad memories, bad pictures, a bad video and a desire to never return. I am writing because I want to prevent some other family from be ripped off by the Princess Wedding Chapel. They lie, o' how they lie, and so does there web site. This Bride was our only daughter and child who's wedding was a complete mess. MY daughter does have a contract. My only daughter's wedding goes in the horror of wedding of the year book. Please, Please don't let them ruin someone elses special day.
Thank you,

Kathryn

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

In All Truths and Righteousness

AUTHOR: Previous Employee of Princess Weddi - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, December 03, 2011

I am appalled after coming across this Rip Off Report and feel very regretful and sad that after 9 years this report is still in the search engines for Princess Wedding Chapel. I'm sure this report have caused a lot of loss in business for the chapel and this person should be ashamed of herself for writing such a thing. I was a previous employee of the Princess Wedding Chapel during this time and I was there to witness the entire wedding experience for Kathryn's daughter. I remember this woman specifically because I have never had anyone in my entire 21 years of living and now 30 experience anyone yell and use profanity at me like that.  This is not in retaliation, "forgiven and forgotten", but I'm just appalled by this woman and what her whole motives are to write this. It's beyond my understanding.

I remember speaking with both Kathryn and Jennifer regarding the description of the Hotel in which the Princess Wedding Chapel was located. I specifically told her that it's not a high end mega resort but it's not like a motel 6 either. I never gave her false ratings like it's a first class rating. I mentioned that it is a time share resort which houses stewardess and pilots. The chapel of course is pretty and is a separate entity from the hotel. There was no false misrepresentation of the physical look of the chapel online. In all honesty brides would compliment on how much prettier it is in person than on the website.
Obviously when Kathryn visited the chapel, the hotel did not meet her expectations and wanted to take her money and run. If she wanted to find a different location that is fine but the policies for cancellation will still be implemented. Everything in contract was already ordered. Which also means she and the Chapel both knows she cannot have her money back. Unfortunately, I feel sorry that she did not like the look of the Hotel after seeing it in person, it is a matter of personal preference out of our control without any false misrepresentation that it was a first class hotel to begin with.
Regardless, the client and chapel was in accord to continue with the wedding plans.

On the day of the wedding, I was in contact with the limousine driver and he told me that he was waiting for the wedding party. I assumed everything was going ok since the party was already informed of the pick up time. The Limousine was never late. Was there on time actually. They just some how missed each other. I noticed when Kathryn had arrived I thought it was odd she showed up a little early but didn't go into deep thought about and just assumed the Limousine driver dropped them off. She went straight to me and yelled at me using profane language and saying that her son in law has to catch a cab and all of his family is here and she's so embarrassed because she was the one  that made the wedding plans here and it did not turn out to be what she expected. As usual, I always want what is best for my clients and in the midst of that screaming I was listening to her. After all the yelling, I attempted to calm and relax her.  I told her that what ever issue she has with the look of the hotel I have no control but I can only do so much to assure her to just enjoy and make the best out of her daughter's wedding. Not so much in the location or whatever that may of gone wrong in her eyes but having the right attitude for the sake of her daughter and the memories they would want to keep by keeping the right attitude. After the talk, in tears I went to the office to keep my composure and keep my strength so that everything in the wedding will go smoothly with a smile and a readily, continued desire to assist in every question and needs. Everything did go well because the guests of the groom and bride and bridal party expressed how great the ceremony was and how beautiful the chapel looked as they were exiting the chapel. Most of them said it was beyond their expectations of a "Vegas" wedding. There were nothing but smiles and compliments of "thank you's" exiting the chapel.  In the interim of their reception upstairs, Kathryn and her husband whom was a nice sweet Japanese man asked the banquet manager to come get me to speak with me. I met with them of which Kathryn approached me first and said she was very sorry for how she behaved with me earlier. She said everyone was happy and thanked me for how everything is turning out. She even offered me tip money of which I rejected and told her that I am just happy that she is happy and everyone else had a good time and was pleased with the service.

So here I am 9 years later to find this ripoff report and I can't stop thinking of how much damage this report has made to the chapel. I loved working there and the Princess Wedding Chapel. They always strive on customer service excellence and they raise the bar when it comes to setting the standards for unparallelled service. Their goal was to always make the brides happy and by giving false promises or misrepresentation was never a wise objective to accomplish that.

I hope that Ripoff Report would make the righteous decision to remove this report because in all truths the customer was from what appeared to me was well pleased and satisfied with the outcome of their daughter "Jennifer's " wedding.
