Pristine auction relies on pictures and descriptions to represent items offered at auction. Pristine auction takes this opportunity to take deceptive pictures (and even alter pictures) and/or falsely describe items offered for auction, and make returning the item because of this misrepresentation impossible.

Besides outright falsely describing items, Pristine Auction sews signed numbers on Korean knock-off jerseys and calls them, "Custom  Jerseys. Jared Kavlie, the owner, admits to this when push comes to shove and calls this "standard industry practice". Far from that, this practice is misleading at best and criminal in nature, at worst.

What follows are some of the comments from Autograph magazine and their Member Forum regarding Jared Kavlie's unethical and dishonest practices:

- "BTW, these NFL jerseys that come from the Philippines, Korea or China that flood Craigslist for $25, which Pristine Auction resells on their auction are not custom products.......they are counterfeit products".

- "those are not custom jerseys they are bootlegs".

- "there is a strong argument that Pristine Auction will sell anything if they can get somebody to bless off on it whether it is authentic or not".

- "Just like with the bogus Tillman jersey. I contacted the EBAY seller who pulled it and a day later you were selling it" Jared, you guys have some racket over there!".

- "I wont mention any names but take a browse on eBay its littered with these same forgeries".

 - "Jared, you're no better than Craigslist. Collectors need to know they can't depend on what you represent".

- "one of the photos I have included is a FACIMILE Peyton Manning autograph from China. They are the exact same one's you have beenBlowing out by the cases".

"ALL OF THE AUTOGRAPHS ARE 100% FAKE AND ALL OF THE HOLO'S ARE 100% FAKE !! 10 YEARS AGO THE SAME STUFF WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE. JUST BACK IN THAT TIME THEY HAD THE COA CARDS WITH THEM ALL .  THE FUNNY THING IS THAT PRISTINE HAS JSA AND BEFORE THAT GAI IN TO LOOK OVER STUFF SENT TO THEM. WELL LET ME ASK YOU ONE THING. IF THEY WERE REAL AND JUST DID NOT HAVE THE COA CARDS FOR THEM THEN WHY NOT PAY JSA THE MONEY TO ALSO CERT THEM ? OH BUT YOU COULD NOT DO THAT BECAUSE YOU KNEW THEY WERE 100% FAKE !!!!!! LOOK AT THE MANNING AUTOGRAPH. ANY ONE KNOWS IT IS NOT REAL !!!!!"

And finally this exchange between the editor of Authograph Magazine and Jared L. Kavlie:

Forum Moderator (and Autograph Magazine editor):

- "Jared,If I thought you cared even one iota that the autographs you sold were genuine, I would have called or emailed you first".

Reply by Pristine Auction (Jared Kavlie) on July 7, 2016 at 8:31pm Really? What a careless comment. You clearly don't know me or our team... at all. If I didn't care about authenticity then we wouldn't have the policies that we do in regards to authenticators. If I didn't care about authenticity then we wouldn't have immediately pulled the Michael Jackson piece that was brought to our attention here. If I didn't care about authenticity, we wouldn't fly JSA in regularly to authenticate consigned memorabilia. If I didn't care about authenticity, I wouldn't regularly read and participate in a forum like this one.

Forum Moderator (and Autograph Magazine editor):

- "My comment wasn't careless. On the contrary, it was measured".

Additionally, Pristine Auction charges outrageous buyer’s premiums. Pristine Auction and Jared Kavlie will tack on steep shipping and handling costs, and additional fees and/or charge undisclosed fees, making the actual purchase price much more than the bidder anticipates.

Pristine Auction will also report the item is shipped, when it is not, and/or purposely ships the wrong (and often, less in value) item, causing the buyer inconvenience and time consuming reconciliation attempts while reaping additional profits.

This is a bare-boned glimpse of some the unethical business practices of Pristine Auction and Jared Kavlie. BUYER BEWARE!

There are no words strong enough for Jared Kavlie

AUTHOR: anonymous - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, November 28, 2016

Before I go into a little of what he did to my significant other - Durring that time I was also sick and had gotten a Cancer diagnosis and had to have major surgery that I am still recovering from the effects and the way this man responded to me was so utterly Appualing & DISGUSTING!!! -- Felt I needed to get something out there for starters to warn people so no one else has such detrimental -horrifying consequences. My significant other is sick and disabled and felt it was time to let go of his collection (in which Jared Kavlie lost a Valuable ball that another auction house even took gloves out to view it) that had wanted to sell his collection. (Jared also sent back some stuff that was junk that was Not his stuff, e.g..a worthless baseball card & he never gave him any cards, and also a Non genuine signed ball) I am making this brief because just too much and hoping he will get well enough soon to pursue on a much well known level.

But to give you one more example - Jared let my significant other know he also sold art and he gave Jared some that was not on the original list to evaluate and let him know the value (this was not covered by the original contract for Jared to sell), So I took pictures with my iPhone and Jared sold an Ali piece (which he was Not authorized to sell) that I have the picture of the Ali taken from the inside of the vehicle - that Jared took to my significant others place of residence - with out letting him know he sold it for about 20 dollars when he paid about ONE THOUSAND and did other stuff so bad that this man who already suffers chronic pain- has cried many nights when he saw everything Jared did. Praying my significant other will be well enough soon, This experience was a total Nightmare!! Have read on multiple sites Jared pays people to change their negative reviews -- is also stating a lot!!!
