I requested information from peoplefinders.com. In doing so I paid by credit card for a report on an individual to try and track down an old friend. When going through the "Checkout" process online at their website in accepting the terms it will also sign you up for www.privacymatters123.com for monthly services. I discovered a $19.95 charge on my card and called the number on my statement. I began asking what this company did.
I immediately cancelled my monthly membership and asked to speak with a Manager. I told the Manager I did not even know how I signed up for this service and he mentioned peoplefinders.com. I said to him that his has happened before hasn't it, and he said yes quite often. I told him that they are tricking the consumer and that they should be ashamed. When I googled privacymatters123 I found more reports of being ripped off by this company. Be very careful...they should be out of business!!!!
