I AM AN ATTORNEY IN OHIO AND HAVE BEEN SCAMMED BY THESE COMPANIES. I HOPE TO FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. CONTACT ME THROUGH RIPOFFREPORT.COM IF YOU WANT TO JOIN.
I performed and paid for a reverse cell phone search on Intelius.com. Shortly thereafter, Privacy Matters took money from my bank account when I did not have an account with them. When I called Privacy Matters, the individual I spoke with (Valencia #150313) was incredibly rude, kept asking for personal information, refused to let me speak with her supervisor, refused to provide a physical address for the company, and refused to promise a refund of my money. I called back and spoke with Sandra (#26499) who also refused to help or provide a physical address.

i TOTALLY agree with all post about intellius and privacy matters.com, last month, november, i got a charge on my card for $14.95..i had NO CLUE what that was from, i didnt recal signing up for there services..i remember going to intellius which is a ripoff in iteself..they claim to have the most up to date info on a person. the person i did a search for had there current address from when they were a child and i know for a fact they have public records listing there current info..never the less, when i got the charge on my card, i went to the website and filed a dispute and told them to take me off ANY kind of membership. low and behold yesterday, dec 17, i got yet another charge, this time i called the company told them to take me off and refund me. they said they would take me off the membership by canceling it and credit me back, TODAY, DECEMBER 18TH was yet ANOTHER charge in the same amount..i called back, they said it should have been a "credit" i told the rep i KNOW THE difference and that was another charge applied to my card. she said she sees where i emailed in november but it didnt say nothing about canceling a membership( why the hell else would i have emailed them?)..
