I had placed an order - 263723, with ShopInPrivate.com on 13 May 2009 and after more than two months, I still did not receive my international shipment. Even after sending several emails to request for a reshipment of my order since ShopInPrivate.com stated on their website that their "Late Package Policy" would send a replacement free of charge if the package has not arrived in 60 days, there isn't a single reply from them. They chose to ignore all my emails.
I had already paid US$86.27 and it is not possible to dispute the amount with our Bank after more than 60 days, which I suspect ShopInPrivate.com had purposely set 60 days as their guideline for international shipments so that they can get away with it when cases like mine happened.
I advise all international customers to be wary of ShopInPrivate.com because they do not allow international customers to select trackable shipping options. If there is no trackable shipping information, how do you know if your order has actually been shipped ?
I am not the only one to file the complaint against ShopInPrivate.com as you can google from the internet.
Seriously, why go through the pain when you can avoid it.

AUTHOR: Tom Nardone - President, PriveCo - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 14, 2009

I would like to apologize to Mr. Rlee that his package never arrived.

I have refunded his credit card for the entire amount this evening.

I'm not exactly sure why we didn't get (or respond to) his e-mails, this is not a typical performance for us.

I can say that looking at his order history with us, this particular order contained an item that is not allowed to be imported by Singapore customs, so his order was probably turned back.

I would like to apologize the the customer and to others.  Here at ShopInPrivate.com we sell a number of sensitive items.  Often, these items are not available or allowed in other countries.  This is the reason people shop with us internationally, unfortunately, it is for this same reason that some orders never arrive.

Our Late Package Policy does cover these orders as they are generally returned to us.  We use 60 days as a cutoff because we often see packages take that long to arrive to some countries.  In this case, we did not properly respond to his e-mails.

I would again like to offer a public apology for the trouble with this International order.  He has been refunded.
