Prize Information Bureau Letterhead looked official from Hawaii State Dept. of Registration, PIB wanted $20 to "process" my winnings. Las Vegas, Nevada

November 4th, 2009 I received an official looking notification letter (letterhead said Hawaii State Department of Registration) saying my cash winnings of over 3 million dollars was pending, but that I must register my name with the state of Hawaii as a contest winner before the cash could be released.  


It continued to say I needed to send Prize Information Bureau $20 to process the registration, and that it had to be postmarked before November 12th.

Since the release date in the letter is about the same time of the Publisher's Clearing House winner announcement, for a moment I thought..."well....maybe?"  But I know you don't have to send any money to be awarded a prize.

To be sure, I jumped onto the computer and checked it out.  There it was, plain and clear on the Ripoff Report!  Fraud!  

The reporting letters from others validated my suspicions.  BE AWARE.  I HOPE THIS COMPANY IS PROSECUTED!  $20 is a lot of money these days!
