We purchased a 2 night/3 day package from Protravel Connections for Blue Green Resorts. Prior to committing to the deal I verified several times with the sales person that we will be staying at a Blue Green Resort and not a hotel. She did verify that we would be staying at a resort. So we purchased.
A couple of weeks later my wife called to book the trip, she booked us at the Wisconsin Dells Mount Olympus Resort. So our travelling weekend came up and we headed to Wisconsin. Upon arrival at the Blue Green visitors center all was well until they tried to present us with our voucher for our stay at the Best Western. I stopped the process right there. I did not purchase a 2 night/ 3 day stay at a Best Western or any other hotel/motel. The local rep stated that they do not put (non-owners) in actual Bluegreen resorts. I countered that I was sold a stay in the resort, I would not and did not purchase a stay at a hotel.
The Bluegreen rep. stated that she could not help me and she called her manager and that person could not help either. I tried to call Protravel and could not get a person on the phone. I then called Blue Green owners line to find some help. The rep on the phone stated that Bluegreen and Protravel record all calls so she would look up our sales call and verify my position. After holding for several minutes she came back on the line and said that she could not access my sales call. So my choice was to stay at the Best Western or walk away and loose my initial payment and pay some fees.
I choose to walk away and fight Protravel through my credit card that I made the purchase with. This process is still ongoing however Protravel is giving my credit card company false information.
Just a thought, if Protravel Connections is a reputable firm, and this is just a simple misunderstanding, wouldn't they try to work this out with me, their customer, as opposed to trying to stick it to me?
Do not purchase anything from Protravel Connections they do not tell the truth.
