The company boasts that they will list anywhere from 15-25 jobs twice weekly.  When you check the online job site there are only 3-5 new jobs updated twice per week.  I went to their offices in person to check their computers on several occassions and there were many more jobs listed on their office computers than the ones they have update on their website.

You are told that you can call the job hotline for all new positions between the posted hours, but no one ever answers the phone you only get a recording where you can leave a message to be called back later. When you don't get a call back and you try calling again and again and finally get a live person you are told you missed the deadline and will need to come to the physical office location to find out additional info about new jobs.

If you are already working daily how can and when will you have the time to go to their physical office twice per week between the hours of 9-11am and check for new updated jobs on their computers.

You will see ads in the clarion-ledger and careebuilder for positions advertising good paying jobs with good benefits, but you will not see these jobs listed on their website or on the available jobs listed on the computers in their office.  The jobs seem to never actually exist anywhere when you try to find out the necessary steps to take to make application.  The jobs listed in the paper supposedly have already been advertised on Pro Resources website 3-5 days earlier and you can not get information about how to make application from Pro Resources, but the phone number listed in the paper to call for additional information is the phone number to the Pro Resources Office.

All jobs should be updated and posted on both sites.  This is part of what the fee includes.  You must call between 9-11am on the specified days to get info about how to make application for an available position you see online, but no one ever answers the phone although they have 2 lines for answering all calls.  If you leave a message, you do not get a call back with this information.  Then when you do get a live person on the phone, you will be told that you missed the deadline to call and will need to come into the office just to get instructions on how to apply for the job.

I have been into their offices three times in the last month and half and each time I go there is a brand new set of staff members,  I always ask what happened to the previous person and never get a definite answer.  I am only told they no longer work there.

Please do not be drawn into this scam.  Times are hard enough for people right now with the state of our economy and this company is out for money and is not concerned with truly helping.

I hope this post will help others who are considering using this service to think twice and to try other avenues for finding real employment.  They do not produce what they claim they will.

My next post will be to the Better Business Bureau of Jackson, MS.

The complaint against Pro resources is valid. I too am registered with them and have experienced some of this same stuff. They do not return calls and if so they are clueless about what it is you called for in the first place. Yes they do have new ads out but the majority of them are carry overs from previous times so there are very few new ones.

I have been told numerous times to apply for a job I was not qualified to do even though the ad required you to be certified etc. I refused simply because I am not going to waste my time or theirs not to mention  gas to see about a job that I am not qualified to do. if I had nursing degrees and certifications and so forth I seriously doubt I would need them to get a job.

They want everyone to wear black, gray or navy dress clothes for interviews etc... here is the problem with this... that is fine if you are applying for an office or executive job but blue collar jobs they gonna look ta you like you are nuts. if you work construction and wear this they will not hire you they feel you are too prissy or too scared to get dirty so this is one rule I do not suggest anyone following unless you are applying for office or executive positions.

They seem to want me to take any job regardless of the pay, not everyone can do that. On more than one occasion I have been told to come to Jackson they had something for me and when I get there it is more of the same. they want me to look at 400 jobs which is more of the same crap I looked at back when I signed up and what i seen on the most recent update what is the point of that?

I went for months were no one called me at all and when they did it was to sign me up for services, sales pitch,  They do not not return calls most of the time you can't even get through to them and when you do they are clueless as to what you are talking about. They discuss your business in front of everyone in the place and I do not care for that. I just find them to be rude, unprofessional, unorganized and pushy.  I know they do not guarantee jobs but it seems it should be better than this. I realize times are hard and jobs are few and far between but the way this place is ran is a joke.

They seem to herd people in and out like cattle for $180 I expected way better than this not some one trying to place me in any job that's out there just to get me out of the way for the next one. i will not renew again for this mess  and to anyone who is looking for a job... do it the old fashioned way no one should ever have to pay to get a job!

Pro Resources

It is virtually impossible to address specific allegations with such vague accusations and generalizations. Pro Resources is a service to be utilized by those persons who wish to find alternatives avenues to their employment search. Employment 1 is NOT a temporary or typical employment agency. The basis of the service is to provide job leads to job seekers. The bloggers fail to mention the vast information provided about the service prior to the exchange of fees. There is signage clearly posted at registration that specific employment cannot be guaranteed and in written verbiage in both the subscription agreement and addendum. There is a very large sign at the front registration desk that states; PRO RESOURCES IS A JOB INFORMATION SERVICE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE EMPLOYMENT. READ YOUR AGREEMENT THOROUGHLY SO THAT WE MAY ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. This alone contradicts the false claim that a job seeker registering with the service believed employment was guaranteed to them. Pro Resources does not guarantee employment and makes no claim as such. A legitimate employment service cannot force any company to hire an individual nor force a job seeker to accept employment. There is a written addendum providing an unconditional guarantee of accuracy and availability. The job information provided is both accurate and available through a tape-recorded verification process. Pro Resources will turn away jobs if they are advertised in the newspaper or major search engines. Pro Resources targets positions in the hidden job market to dramatically cut competition. Potential members may review posted success stories in the office from real people finding real jobs in the local job market. The service can be a valuable and viable resource for job seekers that are committed to regular use and have realistic expectations of the job market. The current economic climate will make finding work more challenging. Pro Resources is not a one-day miracle service. Registrations are handled in office and never via telephone or on the Internet. Monies are not collected until a full explanation of the service is provided and paperwork is reviewed. Pro Resources is diligent about explaining our service to potential members before any fees are exchanged. Pro Resources also gives every registered client an unconditional guarantee stating: NOTICE: "We are an employment information service operating under the format of an employment listing service. We provide a detailed description of each position available as received from the employer. We can not guarantee that an employer will offer you a job, nor will we require you to accept a position that has been offered. We do not schedule interviews. We have made arrangements with employers in advance so those members may apply according to employer instructions. All positions available through our service are verified weekly to ensure accuracy and availability during the time the job is listed. We can not guarantee a specific number of positions in a particular field or location as available positions are changing daily. UNCONDITIONAL GUARANTEE: As a client, you may obtain a copy of a specific job listing which has been advertised. All positions handled through our service are verified to be available at the time of listing. Each position is posted according to information received from the employer. All positions are confirmed and verified on a weekly basis to ensure availability. If you discover that a position has not been verified or confirmed as indicated, or has not been accurately advertised as communicated by the employer, you are entitled to a full refund of your service fee. As I am sure you are aware and common sense dictates we can not create jobs, we can only handle positions that the market dictates. Job seekers can also be limited by past work experience and backgrounds, the more an individual limits themselves the fewer opportunities their will be to pursue. Pro Resources also provides additional assistance to job seekers that are struggling to find gainful employment. FREE Help Sessions and workshops are conducted twice monthly for any additional assistance that our clients may need including employer follow up, interviewing tips, resume tips, and general job search tips. We encourage members to take advantage of these FREE HELP SESSIONS. Pro Resources takes any concern seriously and has an open door policy. The concept of charging a fee for a service is not unique to our business. Many businesses charge an up front fee for a service and results vary based on how effectively the service is used. Health clubs and weight loss centers are two examples of services which individuals can do on their own, but choose to seek assistance. Employment 1 is effective if used properly. We give each client a money back guarantee of accuracy and availability, so it is difficult to understand how claims of false leads and false advertising can be made. Employment 1adheres to all state laws and guidelines as well as internal protocol as defined in all legitimate ethical business practices. Please feel free to our customer service department with any questions at 877-582-0146 or email me at paul@jobs4ga.com Paul Hailey Service Manager
