My boat was damaged while on Lake Mohave, AZ.  I had hit an underwater obstacle but do not know what.  I reported the loss to Progressive Direct when I returned home the next day.  The hull and outdrive had been damaged. Progressive sent me a letter of no fault and told me to take it to a repair facility, I did.  It took approximately a week and an adjuster looked at the boat.  Almost immediately strange questions started coming from my claims representative such as what did I hit?  I already made a statement a week previous on record as well as the five other people I was with that we did not know what we hit we could not see it was getting dark when we were coming back.  Jamie the claims rep asks about the paint transfer then.  I told her I know nothing of paint transfer and she must be mistaken I would have to see the pictures that she was speaking of.  Turns out that the Paint transfer is green zinc chromium that is used to protect an outdrive before it is painted.  Jamie asks of rust on my outdrive...it's an aluminum outdrive it does'nt rust.  I see where this is going.  Long story short my boat has 13 thousand dollars of damage to it and Progressive only wants to pay 6 of it and says the damage to my hull is wear and tear go figure that one out.  To add injury to insult because my props were damaged before they deducted the cost of those from the amount that they want to pay from the claim so now I paid for my duo props twice.  I paid my full insurance premium for the year up front.  Funny how Progressive does'nt want to honor their insurance policy  once the vessel actually gets damaged.  Don't EVER insure your boat through Progressive use Gxxxx (((REDACTED))) who underwrites under Skisafe.  Never had a problem with them.
