I worked as a brand rep for Toyota Scion at the MN State Fair in August 2008- I was hired for this through Promomodels.com. I have worked for over 6 years as a brand rep in this type of promo work for many other companies and I have always been paid. But, Promomodels.com NEVER PAID!!!
I need the money I am owed- it is $1800!! I just cannot believe that they are getting away with this. I can't believe I let it go so long either-- I just had heard that they take about 5 months to pay (which isn't too atypical of promo companies- they usually take about 3 months)... so, I just waited and waited and then got so busy with graduating college that I never really did anything about it. I did file a report, along with the other girl that shared the event hours with me, with the California Dept of Justice (I think?) and they sent back a letter telling me to contact the district office nearest the business.
I just do not know how to go about this and I really need help!! I think that everyone that has been ripped off by this absurd company should join forces on this and shut that company down!!!
