I bought a condo and I used Prospect because my real estate agent recommended William since he was in her office. William would email me information about docs to send over to be approved. The problem was that I would have to send docs over multiple times. William kept saying that I had to hurry and send docs over before closing, which was set for July 7, 2009. I didn't hear anything. My real estate agent sent me an extension because the papers weren't ready. We extended to the 15th. I had to be out of my apartment by the 25th of July so I was still ok with this. My agent kept asking William if everything was set and he always said yes. All of sudden, William is out for personal issues and Monika was supposed to take over. She never responded to emails or phone calls. I call the manager, Jesse, and he said the papers will be sent out to title that day. We've been hearing that for two weeks. Jesse said the issue was the PMI. I put 20% down so there should not be PMI. Jesse did not know what I was talking about. I am pissed since I have to move out with nowhere to go. My agent has talked to Jesse and he doesn't seem to have a clue as to what is going on. Jesse wanted me to re-fax all of my docs because Jesse said I did not have enough money to close. I was so mad because I had sent the docs to William about three times. Jesse said that he didn't have access to William's email. I told him that since he is the manager he should have this all worked out prior to William taking a leave of absence. Jesse didn't say anything. I was told that I need to hurry to get those docs in so I wouldn't be penalized $100/day. I told Jesse the papers are somewhere in your office, go find it now! Amazingly, he did and as of Friday, July 17,2009, supposedly the papers went out. I have to be out in a few days, so where I am supposed to go because Jesse has no clue as to when the closing date is supposed to be.

Prospect Mortgage

AUTHOR: Ddg - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 08, 2009

Were you purchasing a home through their HomePath program?  I had a similar situation and it is posted here also.  I am wondering if this is possibly a scam for the government to get more money.

My closing was conveniently 10 days late for an additional $1000.  Prospect has yet to respond to my request for reimbursement due to their negligence.

I hope that you now have a timely closing on your new home.
