We signed up for a FREE TRIAL at prostores an EBAY company in November. We were only able to log in TWICE the entire time. Repeated e-mails to customer service only resulted in FAQ form letters.
We were NEVER able to build our store. Our store NEVER went live. We NEVER received any help from support.
We sent an e-mail to CANCEL. It was ignored and in January, we were billed IN ADVANCE for services for JANUARY which we did not use, could not use, and did not want.
When we requested a refund, we were told that you pay in advance for cable tv and do not watch tv for the month, you are billed anyway. What a stupid and idiotic comparison! This was supposed to be a USEABLE SERVICE not a WATCHABLE service.
NOT THE SAME THING!
This is like ordering cable for your TV, paying in ADVANCE and not BEING ABLE to View it!
After customer service refused to refund the charges for payment IN ADVANCE for a service we were NEVER able to activate, we told them we would dispute the charge and report it as FRAUD. The SUPERVISOR told us, in a very cocky tone of voice to Go Ahead!
This is outright FRAUD! We wonder how many other people have been ripped off by these fraudulent tactics, and who dont think they can do anything to get their money back! If they Rip-Off just 100 customers a month, who dont do anything to complain - think about how much that adds up to!
They DO NOT provide a mailing address on their site - the first sign of a SCAMMER. They DO NOT provide contact information, other than a boiler room phone number.
Stay away from PROSTOREs an EBAY company. They do not care about their clients, they just want your money - as long as they get YOUR money IN ADVANCE. This is outright FRAUD!
I am sure there are several government agencies interested in this deceptive and fraudulent practice.

My Refund from Prostores

When I realized I had been billed from Prostores after the month trial, I panicked a little bit, and googled "refund prostores cancel" and my search lead me here. I wasn't able to make good use of the account because customized my store proved to be really confused and there was little information on how to do it. Naturally I was a little mortified because I thought I wasn't going to be able to get a refund for that 30 bucks, but I send them an email anyway, stating that I wanted to cancel my account and get a refund, if possible.
It really should be easier to cancel an account though, the only way I was able to do it was by emailing them through a form.
But to my pleasant surprise, I did get a refund to my Paypal account this morning, I'm happy, and my faith in humanity has been restored.
If it helps, my trial was for the lowest priced subscription, and I emailed for a cancellation the same day as I was first billed.
Hopefully, they realized that refusing refunds was bad for their reputation and had that change of heart.
