Protective Smarthealth Services And Protective Marketing Enterprises, Inc. Fraudulent claims by phone about health insurance coverage Birmingham Alabama

I was looking for affordable alternative to college student health insurance. Must have gotten my phone number from searches I was doing online.

AT first, the respresentative dropped company names "American Insurance Group" and Blue Shield which I assumed legit.

Claimed to have limited number of applicants left to approve. Made me think company only accepted small percentage on their special group rate.

Representative claimed to provide health insurance through any doctor in my area, with a $10 co-pay and $100 hospital deductible with 100% coverage after that.

Prescription drug coverage: $10 co-pay and $30 for name brand.

After getting charge card number transferred me to a "verification" representative where they recorded my accepting or understanding of plan...but I was advised that I couldn't ask the person questions during the process until after the recording...SLICK. When I did question once that the coverage wasn't included as stated she gave me a speel about the group health insurance part kicking in after 30 days on the "discounted services" part. Another funny thing...twice during the process the recording process totally stopped and I was left hanging until she came on again, apologizing for the machine having problems.

They were to email me plan within an hour.

After 4 hours of no email I called and was transferred to another person and he verified my email "oh, I know this email isn't correct," he said...my email address was written "no@aol." Obviously did not want to email the plan to me because when I did receive it and read fine print it was nothing like what representative claimed! I was HOT.

Called to cancel and get total refund. I better get it all back, they said they charge a $100 non-refundable processing fee and first month...but I better get it all or they will continue to hear from me!
