Provident Funding Associates Provident Funding Associates Paid Taxes Late and Cost Us $1000 Internet

We have had our mortgage for many years with Provident Funding Associates and our taxes were paid from escrow in December of each year.  In 2011 Provident chose to pay our taxes in 2012 without notifying us.  This caused us not to be able to claim mortgage taxes in 2011 and has cost us $1000 that we will never recuperate.  When calling customer service, Provident only stated they had "upheld their contractual obligation".  Did they have no ethical or moral obligation to notify their customers of their intent and it's possible repercussions? 

A simple internet search of complaints against Provident Funding Associates will show you we are not alone in this situation.  Many people are owing more than us, some nearly $10,000 in taxes.  In this economy the difference of $1000 in taxes owed can be a devastating event.

Provident has acted without ethics or morals in not notifying its customers of their policy change.
