Providian/ Washington Mutual APR raised to excessive amounts, even for good customers Dallas Texas

Washington Mutual has raised the rates on their credit cards to over 24%. I have been with them for over 7 years, initially with Providian and then my Providian account was taken over by WAMU. I consistently pay more than minimum and on time. At a time when the Feds are lowering interest rates almost daily, these people doubled my interest rate. While it is currently a legal practice, it goes to show that they have no interest in customer service or fair practice. I have now cut up their card, am minimizing other payments and paying all I can to end my relationship with these rip-off artist.
