I received a letter, and a check for $2985.00. They said I was a winner in a drawing. My total winnings were $56,985.00. I was so excited, and took my check to the bank.

I was going to deposit it into a savings account in case it was a scam. Then my bank manager read the letter, and said " It looks like a scam".

I took the check back home, and called Steve Davis back. I ask him " Is this a scam?". He replied " Absoulty not mam".

It was time to do some investagating, so I got on the internet. I reported this to my local News Station, and was told to report it to the Post Office.
So I did, and faxed a copy to the Consumer Affairs Dept.

Also I got in contact with the corporate office for the bank that the check was from. Come to find out the checking account doesn't even exist. I have been on the internet e-mailing all the companies that was on the letter/check.

This really is not fair for people to get your hopes up then we get stomped on. Why isn't our legal system putting a stop to this?

Someone Please Help Me to put a stop to these freaks.
