The scam pswhelp.com/pswbilling.com/pswhealth.com is an everchanging one.

Originally, I used my mother's VISA to order free Video Professor computer learning videos. (I had previously called and they would not accept a check, only a charge card) Presumably, the only charge was for shipping and handling.

When I called, it was a telemarketing disaster. I was offered magazines, free vacations, travel discount packages, etc. I accepted a "free" subscription to People Magazine. A charge of $109 was added to my mother's card. That charge was removed, but added on again the next year. After many e-mails, phone calls, and much frustration, the second charge was never removed.

Also a website was listed for pswhelp.com with a charge of $38.95. As I didn't have a computer at the time, I couldn't contact the company to find out what the charge was for.

Due to health reasons, the charge was forgotten for some time. When I obtained a computer, I went to the website which no longer existed. I filed complaints with every consumer complaint organization I could find. I posted a complaint on a scam site. Many other complaints were already there.

I again tried to find the website and a new one was there. This time the name had been changed from pswhelp.com to pswbilling.com. According to the site, it was a billing company that handled billing for online purchases. I didn't even have a computer when the charge was applied to the card.

The website supplied (800) numbers to talk to "live operators." When I called the number, that number didn't exist.

I found a site to reverse search a domain name for an address, called WHOIS. I forwarded the address (probably also fictitious) to all the complaint divisions.

I e-mailed Video Professor 2 or 3 times and didn't receive a response. The only time the card number was given out on the phone was the Video Professor phone call. Since Video Professor ignored my e-mails about this situation, I think they are also involved. VISA couldn't remove the charge because it had been too long. I canceled that card and received a new one.

I have my own card now and went to CIC Credit Check for a free credit report online. Now, I have a charge that appeared on this month's statement for $79.95.

I'm going to contact the card company ASAP and dispute the charges.

I didn't know this site existed until recently. I've added it to my Favorite Places so I can check out any companies I plan on dealing with.

Thanks. Keep up the good work.
