PTI Patent & Trademark Institute, Jim Jackson, Julian Gumpell I was scammed out of $46,000.00 by PTI Garden City New York

In 2004 I decided to call PTI and speak with someone about my ideas. i spoke with Jim Jackson who seamed like a realyy helpful and nice guy. He sent me out some information and followed up a week or two later. At the time I was too busy to take things further, so I just put the ppwrk to the side.

July 2006 I decided I was goingto try again, and believe it or not I got Jim Jackson again. At this point I figured the company was on the up &up since Jim was still around. Long story short, I went ahead with the first faze that cost me between $600-$1200.00 The response and feedback was amazing from PTI. I let me emotions get the best of me and decided to go full speed ahaed. Jim then pushed me off to the next guy(don't have the name just yet) who needed a good 30 minutes to go over details, prices and Patent application plan selections for US and International. Both gentelmen talked about royalties and using friends and family as investors with me. It sounded fantastic. I was talked into going with Plan 1,3,4,5 and 6. I wanted to take this idea to the next level. I explained how I didn't have all the money and neither did my family, but they were as excited as I was. We somehow put together the $44,935.00 from numerous savings sources that we shouldn't have touched. I sent in the money an drecieved confirmation that it was recieved and that the process has begun. 1 month later they get put into receivorship and everything is locked down. They tell me that I am not part of the receivorship because my money was submitted before they came in, so it doesn't qualify. I have tried and tried to get some kind of answers, but I get nowhere. How are companies allowed to do this. Does anybody have any idea, answers, contacts or any information as to what we can do or where to turn?
