AGENCY BIASED AGAINST CONSUMERS/ STACKED WITH RICK PERRY BIG BUSINESS  CRONIES

I urge all Texas electricity consumers, plaese do not waste your time contacting the PUC to resolve problems with electric utiilty companies. The chairwoman and the two commissioners of the commission are all Rick Perry appointees who are looking out for the interests of the utility companies, not your interests. I learned this  lesson the hard way.

I am especially bothered by the agency's failure to take action to force Bounce Energy to change its misleading internet ads. The prices you see on the internet is not an accurate statement of what you will actually pay. The necessary disclosures are hidden behind a tiny button marked "EFL" and are too easily overlooked. To make matters worse if you click on the tiny button marked "Learn more" you get price information that is even more misleading than the original page. The EFL disclosures aren't really accurate either because they exclude charges for PUC Assessment, Gross Receipts Reimbursement, and taxes. There is absol;utely no doubt in my mind that other consumers will also be misled as I was. This is why the internet ades must be changed.

In making its determination, the PUC failed to take into consideration an email I received from Bounce Energy on day 1. It says: "If you are switching from your current provider to Bounce Energy at your current residence, you may rescind this Agreement without penalty within the first three federal business days after you receive your Terms and conditions in the mail."

The PUC instead said that I was bound another rule that only gives me three federal business days from the date service was started. The PUC determination falsely states I was provided with a link to the EFL via email. This is categoraically false. It was clearly missing from the emails that Bounce Energy sent and I believe purposely so. I believe that the long delays getting the "Welcome Kit" in the mail were also on purpose.
