Tobin Lent is the CEO of this start up software company. Tobin is an extremely unprofessional person who carries his CEO title with unwarranted arrogance. He is the classic example of the term Unscrupulous Businessman. His own employees have to plead to get their reimbursement checks signed.

I was asked to perform IT services as a contractor for Punch Entertainment. After agreeing upon an hourly rate and constructing a full and effective plan, Tobin decided to take my work, cut ties with me, implement my plan, and refuse to pay me.

I have tried asking very politely for over a month for him to pay me, but Tobin refused to acknowledge the value of my work. He thinks because we have no future relationship he can just cut me and save what little money he owes me. The hardware I spec'd out specifically for his start up is currently in use in his office. All the equipment and services currently employed in his office was recommended by me, despite his continually changing company needs during my requirements-gathering process.

Tobin is not only unprofessional in dealing with people who work for him, he has a blatant disregard for what is moral and ethical. I feel sorry for his family, if he even keeps in touch with them or has one of his own. I've dealt with unscrupulous people before, but Tobin is a laughin stock of the high tech community, as he parades around in his CEO title yet knows nothing of proper business practices.

Tobin, in his defense of his miserly decision to not pay his contractors, claims he has worked in IT and knows all about IT industry standards. The truth is that he does not even know what a VPN is. What he does know is how to swindle and smile.

If you are reading this and for whatever reason are considering any type of employment relationship with Punch Entertainment, please reconsider, unless you enjoy working pro bono, after having agreed on an exact pay rate.

If you are an investor and considering investing into Punch Entertainment or any other ventures Tobin Lent is involved with, please reconsider sending any money his way. Based on his track record, he will use that money for his own pleasure while denying his workers drinking water at the office.

Tobin Lent is the type of person who will turn a company into another Enron debacle, on a much, much smaller scale, that is. I say smaller scale because any company under his command will never prosper. That is why LavaStorm went under. And that is why Punch Entertainment will not see daylight.
