My husband and I bought a time share from “Punta Pacifico” (“Beatiful Dream Hotel” as named on our credit card statement) in Mexico on June 10th, 2014, with the condition that they sell our “El Cid” timeshare, through the marketing company called “Best Holiday Club Marketing Services”, within 180 days.
A representative from Punta Pacifico by the name of Maria Ruis assured us that marketing company “Best Holiday Club Marketing Services” was a division of their company, which is why they could furnish us with a contract from Best Holiday Club Marketing Services. Ms. Ruis herself handed us Best Holiday Club Marketing Services’ contract to sign in her office after typing it and printing it. This contract clearly states that if “BHClub doesn’t fulfill their agreement with their clients, all monies paid for contract “2290-A” will be refunded within 180 days from the date of purchase”. It was Maria Ruis herself that added this clause into this contract at our request.
It has been 189 days now and we have received no money and are now "stuck" with 2 timeshares.
Punta Pacifico now denies that they are affiliated with “Best Holiday Club Marketing Services”. They are adamant that they are separate companies and that they will not refund us the money since it is Best Holiday Club Marketing Services’ error.
Maria Ruis stated that their marketing company, “Best Holiday Club Marketing Services”, already had a buyer and this buyer (named “Anthony White”) was an investor for Punta Pacifico. We told her we could not own two timeshare programs and she emphatically stated that our El Cid timeshare was sold because we accepted the offer and the deal was therefore final, and all we needed to do was wait for a closing date when we got back home.
In addition, we requested an addendum to our contract which clearly states that if the program does not work as stipulated all monies paid to their company ($19,052.00) would be reimbursed in full. We were assured that if we were dissatisfied for any reason we could cancel and receive a refund.
I contacted Punta Pacifico countless times within the 180 days from June 10th and made them aware that Best Holiday Club Marketing Services was not selling our El Cid timeshare. I also called and left numerous messages for Maria Ruis who has not once returned my phone calls. When I spoke to a representative on December 9th, I was told I would be contacted by their legal department, who then emailed me stating that they could not honor any of the above listed clauses for various reasons.
We were lied to multiple times by these companies and we do not wish to continue doing business with them. It is in our rights, pursuant to the addendum they gave us, to cancel and get a full refund. We have since found numerous similar stories and complaints online regarding Punta Pacifico. They were formally known as “La Jolla”, and had to change their name due to their bad reputation and scandalous business practices.

I've spent a lot of money and i was scammed by other companies trying to cancel my timeshare. My advice is that if you're going to hire a company to help you with the problem, DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT, because it use to be a fraud. I did a research on internet and i found some interesting articles, i recommend you to read this one:
