Puppies for Sale by Net located in Pembroke Pines, Florida used to be called Wizard of Claws and Celebrity Kennels. In February 2006, NBC conducted an investigative series into the business practices of Wizard of Claws. They found many unhappy customers and revealed that their puppies did not come from private breeders, but from puppy mills. They then changed their name to Celebrity Kennels and then CNN's "Paula Zahn Now" show did their own investigation which revealed similiar findings as the NBC story. Then the Florida Attorney General took action and filed a lawsuit against Wizard of Claws and the owners, James (Jim) and Gilda Anderson. The lawsuit claims that Wizard of Claws (now Puppies for Sale by Net) defrauded its customers. So the store has changed their name once again to Puppies for Sale By Net to avoid this negative publicity.
