Was supposed to be a free demonstration and a free weekend trip. He came in to my home and set up after he moved some furniture around to make room, told me to turn the tv off because it was interfearing with his demo. My wife was recording something so she could watch at a later time. My wife has medical conditions with her neck due to an accident several years ago and gets very bad headaches. She happened to have one this night and asked to watch the demo. He kept telling me to get my wife to come watch. I told him she wasn't feeling well and why. He kept being persistant started to annoy me. After the demo I asked my wife to come here what he had to say and how much the vacuum was.
He told us the price and I told him that we were both on Social Security Disability with limited incomes and at this time we have some credit issues and could not afford it. He supposedly made a phone call to someone and said you got approved. I was supprised because no one else could give us credit. We signed the contract and gave him a $200 check for downpayment. The next two days we decided we can't really afford it. My wife called the office and tried to tell the secretary our problem but she got rude and hung up on her. We called again and told them to keep the $200 check and come get the vacuum. They told us we had to keep it and pay for it. They even took us to a Justice of the Peace to mape us pay for it. Now they want us to pay $300 a month for a vacuum I have never planed on using.

MUST NOT BE HONEST

In the complaint the purchaser said they called within 2 days. Well there is a 3 day right to recision in this country and if the company took you to court and WON a judgement then you must have been in the wrong. So tired of people getting away with only giving half the truth.
AL COURT OF "LAW" FOUND YOU IN THE WRONG...

After reading both the original post and the rebuttal it occures to me that the owner is correct. This is a case of buyers remorse. The op plays a nice victim and I thought it strange that ANY company would take them to court BEFORE the 30 day return window NORMALLY offered in retail. This tells me that the couple that purchased this item and signed a contract did everything in their power to keep the cleaner WITHOUT paying for it. They were probably thinking that they could get away with it given their age, probably citing a "senior moment". But after researching the issue a bit more I find that this couple had more then JUST buyers remorse. It appears as if this couple, instead of following through with their contracted obligactions decided to screw the company over and was held accountable for attempting to do so.
RoR is a great tool, but when consumer get on here to LIE and PLAY THE VICTIM the invalidate the entire system. They should be ashamed of themselves. They give NOTHING but excuses and take ZERO responsibility for their actions. Its hard to believe that at their age they are still just scammers.
This is the usual response from the American Consumer. Play the victim and lie to get your way, and when you get caught in those lies, they LIE some more. I mean what good would it do them to admit they screwed up. No its MUCH BETTER to blame ANYONE else for their stupidity and ignorance. Its obvious by both posts that the wife need some social lessons. And the husband needs to learn to LIE better.
And im betting that before they returned the vacume cleaner they used it as much as possible and made it as dirty as they could. They seek to punish others for their issues. These two really need to find a cliff and drive off it. They signed a CONTRACT. If they did not read it then EVERYTHING that has happend to them is ENTIRELY their fault.
If I was the owner of this company, I WOULD be taking them to court just for this post alone. Slander and DEFAMATION of CHARACTER are STILL very serious. I would have them paying out the nose.

Stephen and Grace Frey purchased a Rainbow Cleaning system as stated. It was 3 months later that they decided they did not want the Rainbow Cleaning System. The contract gives them 3 days to return the unit. They were contacted on the 2nd day to make sure everything was working good, asked if they had any questions and they even gave the name of 4 people who would do a presentation so they can receive accessories for the Rainbow (this contradicts the fact that they contacted the office within 3 days to make a return. When they refused to make their payments, they were taken to court (as we do all customers who don't pay) and the Judge awarded Pur Air the judgment. This proving that we had all documentation in order. They agreed to a new payment pland and paid $300 a month for 2 months before they stopped paying. Pur Air issued a Judgment Debtor Rule and at that point they hired an attorney. With his advice after many months, they decided on a voluntary reposession and returned the Rainbow and pay the difference in what we could sell it for and what they owed. They said it had never been used...the filter was filthy, the bowl was dirty and still had water in it and all of the attachments had to be replaced before we could resell it. They have also filed a complaint wiht the BBB, who removed the complaint and found in favor of Pur Air, Llc. I guess this was another way to lodge a complaint. They just keep complaining to whoever will post and listen. With the wife cursing my office manager, she was instructed to tell her politely quit cursing or she was hanging up the phone...who wouldn't do the same???
Amongst all of this poor, pitiful, someone took advantage of my wife (who signed the contract) and was in bed due to surgery, I'm on a fixed income and can't afford $100 a month...they went on a cruise, went to Sain'ts games, went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, went to the beach (all posted on Facebook for everyone to see), have a rental home...I would say that they weren't hurting financially, but just had buyer's remorse after 3 months. We have all been there, but most people choose to pay for their items instead of trying to keep it and not pay...this was a $2500 purchase, so it'a not something the company was just going to let them keep and not pay.
