Pur Water Filter Company New mount indicator light not working Nationwide

I have had a Pur water filter in my house for many years, and have been a little less than satisfied because my water still had a bad smell and taste.  First the new filters would flow very slow.  When I called the company to complain they said they needed the filters sent back!  Excuse ME!  You can't send those through the mail with water still in them, they will leak and be considered hazardous!  

Next the unit started leaking so I bought another.  This time the indicator light did not work.  I again called the company, and they sent another unit.  Again the indicator light did not function.  The purpose of the indicator light is to tell you when the water is safe, and when the lihght is yellow or red to replace the filter.  If the indicator light does not work then as far as I am concerned the unit is useless!

When I called today June 11, 2014 they talked me through setting the unit up as if I did not set the unit up correctly.  After this did not work I told them they had lost a long time customer! Also don't bother to email them as the email is only the company that supplies the filters!
