A couple of weeks ago I received an email which appeared legit that touted all the incredible antioxidant properties of newest berry from the famed Brazilian Rainforest.
Being interested in health and wellness, I eagerly replied and checked the box that I would be willing to pay for S&H to recieve a sample bottle. I did receive a sample bottle as ordered. However, to my surprise, I received another full-size bottle today which I did NOT order!
I have been unable to find any way to contact this company and had not agreed to any membership or other agreement to receive further shipments. This company is suspicious because there is no literature mailed to you and as most of you have probably experienced, their website seems to leave no "cookie" to even try to retrieve the "sent" email.
Like many others, I am returning the unopened, full-size bottle along with a copy of this website and my specific complaint. Thank you!

Customer Support Response
AUTHOR: Customer Support - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, October 22, 2008
We appreciate forums such as Ripoff Report that allow for customers of all products to vent or state their beliefs concerning a given product. We look at it as a great opportunity for us to share our vision and see it only as a positive. We understand your issue and acknowledge there have been others who have shared your same frustration. We recognize we are not perfect, but we are always seeking perfection.
We would like to take a moment and outline our whole marketing concept and emphasize it is very clearly outlined in our Terms and Conditions and made readily available and we actually require persons to verify it has been read BEFORE one chooses to take our sample. We offer Acai a tremendously healthy product, in a trial size, at a greatly reduced price, in order to allow more people an opportunity to try our healthy product that would otherwise never had had the chance. In doing so, our intent is that when an individual tries our sample, they can make a decision as to whether or not they would like to continue to receive the product on a monthly basis. If they like the product, they do nothing and the product continues to come each month. If they choose they no longer want the product, no problem, all they have to do is go to the web address on the bottle (www.gohelpnow.com) and simply cancel the product. This usually takes less than 5 minutes.
We strive to do everything possible to make the product cancellation experience as easy and fast as possible for our customers. In the spirit of good customer relations, we have created a specific avenue for all who wish to give their feedback directly to us by visiting our Customer Support website and clicking on the "We Want to Hear From You" button. We hope this helps to clarify any misconceptions and invite any and all to visit our Customer Support website (www.gohelpnow.com), available 24/7/365 a week, for more information.

In the future...

DO NOT RESPOND TO UCE (unsolicited commercial email.)
It really is this simple. If you didn't contact them don't even read it. simply highlight it in your email client and DELETE it. Better yet, add the email address or domain name to your junk email filter.
REPUTABLE businesses DO NOT operate this way.
Keep this in mind for the future.

Pure Acai Berries

I really just wanted to respond to that guy Steve who said "nothing is free". Ya think? They ask for your credit card number to pay shipping and handling on the sample you order. Not for future shipments to be charged to it. And, it's a little odd that I can't find their website anymore.

You need to learn how to READ.

Whenever you respond to these types of offers, you need to read everything, which you obviously didn't.
I have seen these ads, and they disclose the "future shipments" agreement. That is why they require a credit cards.
Think about it!
Nothing is "free".
Just common sense here.
