Purr-Fect Air inc Bait and Switch Cape Coral , Florida

I received a phone call from Purr-Fect Air 836 NE 7th Terr St2, Cape Coral FL on 4/26 offering me an AC cleaning for $50 as an introductory offer.
Two men came to our home to do the "cleaning". They did an inspection first and indicated we had a major mold problem.
To fix the problem we needed to replace our exisiting system with a $16000 system. We alledgedly could not repair our system because the new parts would not be capatible with the old ones. They indicated the system could be cleaned but it would cost $3500 and would only last a year or two. The price was then reduced to $11,200 and they would include a $680 ultraviolet light system. they indicated the sytem would give me a 50% savings on my electric bill. Before leaving they gave me a better ultraviolet light sytem to have to go along with the new one. I told them I would get back to them.
 
I had a local company come an give me an inspection. They assured me that my system was in good condition. They said it needed a regular cleaning and my filters changed. I had the filters and a year contract was $310 for two cleanings of my two units. They further indicated that my system could be partially repaired if needed without replacing the entire system. Also they indicated that the savings going from 13 sear to 16 sear would not likely reduce my bill by 50%.
 
This solicitation was a gross misrepresentation from the start. They had no intention of cleaning the system. They misrepresented the condition of my equipment. They misrepresented the cost of repairs. There were two people so they could have "technical" expert and a closer. There mission was to sell, not to clean. This bate and switch tactic went out with the 70's but appears to be alive and well with Purr-Fect.
