PYThair Pyt Hair Has a lifetime warranty with product but when you send a check in with the broken hair straightener, you dont get a new one back and you dont hear from them. They haven't emailed me back and their customer support or company phone numbers never allow you to talk to anyone. Brooklyn New York

I bought a straightener from the pyt kiosk in the mall.  It comes with a lifetime warranty and a card to send in to the manufacturer if your product is broken.  The company has a website and the contact information on the website does not actually allow you to contact anyone.  No one answers the customer support phone numbers and there is no answering service to leave a message, they just clearly do not open any communication up.  The email to email customer support, they do not email you back if you email them.  They have a facebook page PYT and everyone is complaning about this product and not being able to get another once theirs is broken and not being able to get a phone number that actually works for them and they respond with "if you want to give us your number, you can" and that is their answer to not having a working number.  This company clearly does not stand behind their warranty, their warranty is fake and these products break very easily.  I sent my broken straightener back 4 weeks ago and the warranty card said I would have one immediately replaced and I have not heard anything from them. I am now without a straightener and feel that I have been scammed.  These kiosks in the malls need to be removed. A company that has no working telephone numbers or any working contact information should not be in business.

Sorry to hear that, thank you for contacting us.  Most consumers email us at "info@pythair.com"  This is also clearly written on the pamphlet that comes in each styler box.  In order to get your styler replaced the below manufacturer warranty policy must be followed.  We have no name to look up so we can't answer you in detail right now.  If the below instructions are followed, then we ship out a brand new replacement in 4-5 days from when it arrives here, excluding Sat and Sun.  We are having trouble with out phone system which is why it keeps ringing, and we're in the process of getting such fixed.

 Any PYT consumer may obtain a warranty replacement at anytime by following the below instructions:

PYT Styler Warranty Instructions 

Thank you for contacting us here at PYT.  You may obtain a brand new replacement styler by following the below directions that apply to you. If you live overseas please email us your address, purchase paperwork, and a picture of the styler so that we may email you a shipping quote.  We look forward to assisting you. 

Do not ever use a defective styler of any kind for that is extremely dangerous under any circumstances.

All warranty claims are done through the mail for we are not a physical retail location, we are the manufacturers.  We do not own or operate any retail location.  They are solely responsible for their own pricing, policies, and management.  For any issues with them, they must be dealt with directly for we do not own their business and we will not mislead you in representing them. 

As long as you send us a complete warranty claim, once your styler arrives here it will take 4-5 days (excluding Sat & Sun) for us to ship you your brand new replacement styler.  To utilize this professional business service, follow the below directions so that you experience no processing delay. 

The warranty proof & the s/h fee are always mandatory.  Per warranty claim per consumer we as the manufacturers of your product put a great deal of time and monetary investment into this warranty program and product manufacturing.  The consumer pays minimal fees and receives lifetime warranty options.  We don’t get paid anything for the styler worth hundreds that we provide under warranty, there are many professional fees to get that free styler to your preferred address and we’re happy to do such.   We always pay more than each consumer per warranty claim.

**Follow the below directions and ship everything in one shipment to:


The PYT Team/300 Meserole St./Brooklyn, NY 11206.  Read below to know what to ship with your warranty claim:

1-Defective styler (mandatory)

2-Receipt photocopy or credit card bank statement photocopy with the date legible & your personal info crossed-out, (statement instead of lost credit receipt.)  Always keep your original receipt.  *All customers are solely responsible for maintaining their own copies of all appropriate warranty paperwork in the case that they ever need to utilize our warranty program.  We do not own any retailer, so we do not have any receipt on file for you.

3-Check or money order made out to "PYT" for shipping and handling plus whatever warranty situation applies to you (read below, it’s all there, every situation covered).  For overseas, please email us (your physical address, picture of the styler, and receipt for a shipping quote. $22.95 for most of US/$30 for Canada, Alaska, & Hawai

PYT warranty is proven by the following:

First-year warranty proof:

We give you a free first-year warranty.  So if you haven’t owned it over a year, you may use a receipt photocopy only (do not send us your original receipt) or if you lost your receipt but charged the purchase you may use a credit card bank statement photocopy to prove you’re still within the free first year warranty.  The s/h fee is also due with proof of your free first-yr warranty.  $22.95 for most of US/$30 for Canada, Alaska, & Hawai

***If you already have a PYT manufacturers lifetime warranty, then please send us steps #1-6 along with:

1-Filled-out black pyt lifetime warranty card with a photocopy of your receipt of purchase (if you lost your receipt you can use a credit card bank statement if you charged the purchase).  Your receipt of purchase copy is mandatory for it validates the “PYT Lifetime Warranty” warranty card. Include the s/h fee for your area as per step #3 above

**The warranty written on the receipt is from the retailer only, we are the manufacturers & we don’t own or operate the retailers.  You must contact them directly if you wish to process a warranty through them, otherwise follow the directions in this email to complete a warranty claim with us, the manufacturers.  If you already purchased a warranty extension directly through the manufacturers, then please mail a photocopy of your manufacturer’s warranty receipt from us along with the s & h fee and your other defective styler info mentioned in steps #1-6. 

***If you lost your receipt, don’t have a credit card bank statement, your 1-yr warranty has expired, or you got this as a gift and can’t get a receipt then a warranty extension must be purchased.  Please make your check or money order payable to “PYT” when following the below directions:

PYT warranty purchase extension options for each styler based on location:

$29.99 lifetime warranty purchase + $22.95 US s/h fee = $52.94 total

$29.99 lifetime warranty purchase + $30 s/h Canada, Alaska, & Hawaii =$59.99 total

Simply include a check or money order for either $52.94 or $59.99 made out to “PYT”  After you purchase an extended warranty with us, we will email you a receipt, so please make sure to include a valid readable email address.  Please make sure to always save the online receipt that we send for your records and possible future use.  Every customer is solely responsible to maintain their own records and copies of all applicable warranty paperwork.

Once you have a warranty on file with us, if anything should happen to your styler, you simply mail it to us along with your PYT lifetime warranty receipt and the appropriate shipping fee for the US, Canada, Hawaii, and Alaska.  As long as you have a warranty policy with us, we cover you.  We turn down none of our valued consumers under warranty. 

4-Full address with no p o box. 

*Please fill out the last page of the warranty pamphlet that came in the box and mail it along with your defective styler.  If you lost it, include your full name, physical address, phone number, and email on a separate piece of paper. 

5-Phone number

6-Readable email address (you'll receive a tracking number if you include such & if you purchase a PYT Lifetime warranty extension then you will also receive a receipt for such).

7-An extra check or money order made out to “PYT” for $29.99 if you want to switch the original styler for another styler type.  It is mandatory that you write on the check, “Warranty model swap fee,” please include a note detailing the styler print that you want.  Singular stylers for singular stylers, sets for sets, etc.

You may mail it back to us in the original box if you still have such, don’t worry if you discarded it.  Our only authorized dealer online is “SFR.”  Make sure not to purchase from any other online retailer for you could get a cheap, imitation PYT product that is dangerous for use and such purchases will not be covered under our warranty policy.  The warranty info is also written in the box.  These are warranty directions to only process “PYT” stylers, please do not send us any other brand in regards to such. 

Why buy a cheap $30 styler made of materials that aren’t healthy for your hair?  There’s a reason why those are only $30.  We use top-of-the-line far-infrared heat, along with 100% ceramic plates for those are the healthiest most effective options to be used in stylers, we never use metal coiling heat with cheap ceramic-coated metal plates.  If you dropped  a 1” tile on the floor it will most likely break, comparatively please do try your best to not drop your styler, especially when it’s hot.  And if you happen to do so, don’t worry for under warranty we never turn down your warranty claim.  Any other styler company will make you buy a brand new styler after 1 or 2 years, with us you may purchase an extended lifetime warranty at anytime.

We greatly look forward to replacing your defective styler with a brand new one.  We never do replacement parts or repairs.  Under warranty you will receive a brand new styler.
