I signed up for QuadraNet Home Security System's alarm service right after there had been a few burglaries in my neighborhood.  I have a family with small children and no longer felt safe in our neighborhood.   I selected QuadraNet's service on the recommendation of someone from my local church.  They had just had an alarm installed by the same company.

I had given them $399 for the installation and they were going to be billling me $39.95 a month for the monthly monitoring. Unfortunately I rushed into this situation and had not shopped around.   Mainly due to the recomendation of the fellow chruch goer.  Only now I realized that any other alarm company would have given me a free alarm and probably charged my $10 less a month.  It also regret that I signed up to a two year contract for the central station monitoring.

After the alarm was installed (which took almost two days), I started having issues with the system.  Twice the first night the alarm went off in the middle of then night waking my husband and our children.  We search the place and called the police which resulted in them saying everthing was clear.   We had to call the police ourseleves because the central staion never called us to verify the alarm going off.  What the hell did i just spend my money on!!!

In the AM we called in and they apologized and told us that it took 36-48 hours to be active in their system.  It would have been nice if the installed had told us this little bit of info.

This was just the beginning.  The next night while cooking dinner the smoke alarms (must be super sensative) went off while I was cooking as soon as I opened the over door.  There wasn't even any smoke!!  and again ...no call

Now in the past 30 days the alarm must have gone off a dozen times between the smoke alarm and the house alarm.  I've been calling the main office of of the card the installer left behind and now I'm not getting any return calls.

My husband tried drving down to their office only to find that it's one of those mailbox places.

To top it all off, we receieved our first invoice, and not only are they trying to charge me for a service that sucks...they say I have a balance of $74 from the installation.

This is ridiculous!!!  Luckily I put this all on my Amex card and I called them and blocked any furutre transactions.  I'm filing a dispute on the amount I paid so far.

I have not been able to contact them and when I go to their website, their is no information at all on it.

I got all of my money back, but now i'm stuck with an installed alarm system that doesn't even work.

Please learn from my experience.  Do not order an alarm system from these guys.
