I accidentally booked the Quality Inn in Ashland, Virginia which was non-refundable. I immediately phoned and asked Hotels.com to cancel the booking and refund my money. I also phoned the Quality Inn in Ashland Virginia and told them a mistake was made (I saw nothing about non-refundable until after I clicked the Booking button). But neither of the two individuals I spoke to would do anything to help us. (In other words no refund, we had to pay, but we cannot stay there! I believe that is called stealing.

I reported the Quality Inn at Ashland Virginia to the local Richmond BBB but unfortunately the hotel offered no refund. So one month in advance of when we were travelling they would not give us a refund through a mistaken click! That is very poor customer service.

Unfortunately other Quality Inns are going to suffer because I am changing the one other Quality Inn we were going to stay in (which did not say non-refundable nor did they try to trick me into a non-refundable room) because now I do not trust any of them. Sad but true!

I would rename the hotel to Poor Quality Inn & Suites, Ashland, Virginia. Click our online buttons and give us your money! No sorry you cannot have it back!

That's some mistake

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, March 02, 2017

That is quite a mistake you made.

You selected the Dates and City
You selected the Hotel
You entred in your Personal and Financial Information
You read the terms you were agreeing to(Well you were SUPPOSED to)

But then after going through all of that all of the sudden you "accidentally" click "Book".

I don't know how you were able to write this report with a Straight face.

I'm actually wondering what happened in the seconds between the time you "accidentlly" clicked "Book"
and you realizing you can't stay there.

By the way even if this was some "Hidden Hotel" rate where the hotel is disclosed upon booking, you still had to select things such as the city and enter in your financial information including reading the terms.  So that isn't an excuse either.
