Quality Performance Marine, INC. Boater's Beware of this business and their scams Corona California

Let me tell you about this business, I found one of their marketing brocheres and it said two mercury master technicians, and decided to take a chance a take my boat their 45 miles away, the secrectery said they had a 11,000 square foot indoor shop and I said that sounds good. After about the third day the owner called me a said well the news by the way I took it in for a rough idle problem, is about $600 and will call me in a couple of hours yea he did

well now about $1200 told me that he will have to rebuild the carb I said ok now he said about $1500 Then he calls me and says by the way needed a fuel pump, and put that on without authorizing it through me, Now I knew some thing was up that should of been one of the first things checked way before the carb, he said the total would be about $2,000 and the boat will be ready that day, I said I'll pick it up in a couple of days he agreeed. I got there and said can you start it , he said ok cranked it over and it did not start...

then after about a few minutes it started ran rougher than when I brought it there, he said let me get some tools, I then jumped in the boat and took off the air cleaner and I looked in the engine compartment there was 3 inches of water and leaves he said it was parked inside? after taking off the air cleaner I noticed it full of varnish and not clean, obviously they did not even touch it...

I then knew I was not going to pay for a boat that ran worse than when I brought it in and full of water and leaves, I said would you take this boat if it was yours? he said no, the owner than said I'll give you $300 off the bill, I had to call Corona police as a mediator I knew he was a ripoff artist... and I was scamed the police stayed there and I pulled the boat out of there by the way the owner forgot to give me the invoice in all this and said he was going to make a copy to distract me and I left without it. Now out about $1600 and still have the problem also a scratch on the bow and who knows what else what a ripoff place, I will try to dispute this with my credit card company.
